Andy Shelley

Andy has over 30 years' experience in the archaeological consultancy and contracting sectors. He has a collaborative approach, and is used to working in dynamic and challenging environments. His key area of expertise is the archaeological de-risking of complex urban developments. His experience and client focus is the basis for the pragmatic and effective archaeological management service which PCA Heritage provides to private and public-sector clients alike. His chief research interest lies in the mechanisms people use to shape and contest urban space. His publications focus on archaeological work in medieval towns and cities; the most recent explores what effect the Danish re-conquest of the 11th century may have had on Norwich.
