Martin Oelofse

Job Titles:
  • Director
  • Our Director
I grew up in a small town on the edge of the India Ocean in South Africa. My love of nature and the sea inspired Pointbreak, and the ethos behind it. My family have architecture running in their veins, but I chose the practical side. I started building in London in 2000, and then became self-employed in 2003. I completed my New Zealand Carpentry Certificate while working for one of the premium architectural builders in Christchurch, where I had some of the best building experiences in my life. Now, equipped with knowledge about New Zealand climate and building practices, I resumed working for myself. I am Licensed Builder Practitioner (LPB Carpentry class) and NZ qualified builder with more than 15 years of construction experience. I did everything from laying timber floors to renovating hotels, and soon found that I enjoyed building homes that are far superior to industry standard. Our director, Martin Oelofse, will personally conduct the session, which is normally valued at $300. However, we are offering the session FREE to people that are seriously considering building a dream home to help them make informed decisions towards the next step.
