Deon Hug - Founder

Starting out in Adland, in his native South Africa, with Young & Rubicam (Y&R) (Bausch & Lomb/Colgate/Ford) and Network BBDO (Absolut/Nissan/Mail & Guardian), Deon decided to make Asia his home in 96… firstly Singapore with Y&R (Development Bank of Singapore/IKEA/Fidelity) and then Hong Kong with M&C Saatchi (British Airways/HSBC/Mandarin Oriental Hotels). He moved to London with M&C Saatchi (British Airways/Abercrombie & Kent/Lastminute.com) in 2001 and then spent 5 years working with Simon at Woolley Pau (BMS/Steifel/J&J). Planning to return home to Cape Town, Deon took a detour via Strawberryfrog Amsterdam (Heineken/Smartcar/Panasonic), before finally arriving back in South Africa in the late noughties, where he has since built a successful career as a Creative Director and Travel Photographer. Deon has been awarded at Cannes, London Creative Circle, IPA, Singapore Creative Circle, Loeries (SA) and 4A's (HK) and most recently has been included in the Lürzer's Archive ‘200 Best Photographers Worldwide Annual'. Deon lives with his wife Anna and family by the beach in Cape Town.

Duncan Stokes

For the past 20 years Duncan has been responsible for global production for Ogilvy, WPP and other agency groups. He was instrumental in devising, developing and delivering the very first global FMCG centralised campaign production and delivery methodology (some 10 years ago) He has built production hubs in India, Bangalore, Vietnam, Bratislava, Romania, Mexico and Atlanta. Typically he has overseen the amplification, trans-creation, adaption and delivery of all content and campaign types across all media channels, globally regionally and locally. Duncan has massive experience in advertising production, built up from a solid craft base in delivering campaigns for many clients and agency groups, such as Grey, DDB, Bean and Rapp. With a wealth of knowledge and know-how whatever the production need, opportunity or problem, on or offline, static or moving image, he'll have the solution. Duncan regularly speaks at numerous industry events on production, de-coupling, technology and efficient campaign management for ISBA, IPA, Compag to PIRA and IPEX.

James Ringshall

James began his media career at Dewe Rogerson (Scottish Widows/British Steel/Govt. Privatisations) before being persuaded to go client-side at TSB. He returned to the Agency biz with Carat Int. and then Universal McCann (Coca Cola/Microsoft/UPS), where he worked (for the first time!) with Ken, leaving in the early noughties to become European Marketing Director of Zenith. Post Zenith, James has built a successful Energy Brokerage business, whilst combining this with ongoing media strategy work with Punktuate! London. James lives with his wife, Vanessa and family in London.

Ken Wright - Founder

A Scots lawyer and MBA, Ken has spent many years leading ad agencies and global client teams, in a broad number of brand categories, around the world. His experience includes SVP Worldwide for McCann (Cathay Pacific Airways/Boots Healthcare Int./Goodyear); CEO Greater China for DMB&B (P&G/Coca Cola/Philips) before joining the Worldwide Board of Ogilvy & Mather (Unilever/BP/GSK). Ken founded Punktuate! with Simon and Deon after two and a half years working with them, in Brand Consulting in the belief that the world of Brands and Advertising needed the ‘shot in the arm' that Punktuate! London aims to deliver. A keen 5-a-side footballer, and Scotland, Queen of the South and Fulham fan, Ken lives in London with his wife Kate and 3 (almost teenage!) children. Ken has also previously been a Trustee at Fulham Palace, the historic home of the Bishops' of London.

Simon Cooper - Founder

Following a Biochemistry PhD watching ‘apples rot' at Cambridge University, Simon began a career with Boots Healthcare International formulating medicines, before moving into marketing, planning and corporate roles across the Boots group. His agency career began with leading healthcare specialist agency Woolley Pau (J&J/Actavis/Sanofi) and after being bought out by Gyro (the leading worldwide B2B agency) decided it was time to experience something new. After a brief spell as head of advertising at Ogilvy Healthworld (Pfizer/Boehringer/Bayer) and several years working with Ken in Brand Consulting he has finally achieved what he has always wanted to do - to set up and run his own global ad shop… Punktuate! London. Simon lives near the sea, enjoys fly fishing, gardening, volunteering and life at home with his wife Alison and 2 young children.
