There is currently no global platform representing all of Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery. TUGSS aims to fill this space by uniting us all under one umbrella. TUGSS recognises that though there are differences between oesophagogastric cancer surgery, bariatric surgery, hepato-biliary surgery, pancreatic surgery, hernia surgery, trauma surgery, etc, there is considerable overlap in our work and we all not uncommonly look after patients in one area or the other. There is more that unites us than separates us... The Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery (TUGS) represents all of the Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery globally. We represent all professionals connected with any Upper Gastrointestinal surgery... We represent all professionals connected with any Upper Gastrointestinal surgery irrespective of their profession and grade.
