Brent Sisson - CFO

As Asurint's Chief Financial Officer, Brent leads the company's overall financial strategy and objectives. Brent brings more than 25 years of financial experience to Asurint, with deep experience in the Human Capital Management (HCM) market where he served in executive management positions at Paycor, Inc., a leading HR and payroll technology company, for 17 years. Recently, he served as CFO & COO for Aegis Protective Services, a business-to-business security provider, where he again led revenue growth and profitability. Brent is also a Certified Public Accountant, a Six Sigma Black Belt and a former officer for the Center for Quality Management. Community involvement is important to Brent as he serves as Finance Director of the Hatmaker Foundation benefitting the Oyler School and is a graduate of Leadership Cincinnati. Brent received a dual degree in Accounting and Political Science from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

David Barney - CIO

As Asurint's Chief Information Officer, David leads the company's overall vision and strategy for technology. He's responsible for both the execution of building Asurint's products and the managed services of delivering those products for background screening. For more than thirty years, David has been involved in IT. From developing eCommerce applications, working with large data sets and structures, and building and managing all that comes with running technology for an organization, he's proven his ability to create valuable technology that runs quickly, efficiently and overall just works. He has built high performing teams that provide true value and service to their organizations. He has demonstrated expertise in working with product teams to building innovative technology solutions that help service customers and add to the bottom line. Prior to joining Asurint, David served as the CIO for Arhaus, and in multiple leadership roles for TeleTech. He is skilled in building top-performing teams, benchmarking performance, and restructuring organizations to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability. David is a graduate of Arizona State University and enjoys spending time with his two now college age children and his two dogs.

Gregg Gay - CEO, Founder

Gregg Gay is Asurint's Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder. With more than two decades of experience owning and developing businesses, he is recognized as a leader in Northeast Ohio. Since Asurint's inception in 2004, Gregg has utilized his focused expertise in the professional management of high-growth companies to build and recruit top talent and attract a key financial sponsor. Gregg's leadership has helped propel Asurint to become a top background screening provider. Prior to co-founding Asurint, Gregg served as an investor and executive in several successful early stage companies in the HR Technology and Outsourcing industry. After earning a B.A. in Accounting from Texas A&M University School of Business, Gregg began his career in public accounting with Cooper & Lybrand. Gregg is an active member of the Young Presidents' Organization.

Huda Farunia

Huda Farunia serves as the Asurint's Vice President of Human Resources. As a leader of Human Resources at Asurint, Huda has made a difference serving as the Talent Acquisition Manager and HR Business Partner for 40% of the talent base. Huda has built a brand for herself as Asurint's biggest cheerleader; by building strong relationships with the organization's leadership and the highly engaged employees with her progressive thinking, immense HR knowledge, and incredible ability to connect with people. Huda has operated as a working manager in recruiting as well as a leader in office operations and employee programs. She also aided in developing and facilitating management training, revised the company handbook's policies, improved the mentorship program, and is a cheerleader for the business. Huda has set a precedence providing a formal onboarding process for new hires and mentors current employees to retain top talent. She also assists with internal transitions, inclusion, professional development, and org-realignment as well as creating communication and opportunities for promotions. On top of her workday, Huda volunteers and supports the Cleveland Food Bank, City of Lakewood Community Relations Advisory Commissions, and Cleveland's Laura's Home Women's Crisis Center. Topics and issues that she is most passionate about and has already done more with Asurint's Community Outreach Committee. Her most recent accolade is becoming the recipient of the 2018 Cleveland Crain's Archer Award: Rising HR Star closing out her tenure at Cuyahoga Community College. Huda is a graduate of the University of Toledo, earning her BA and BBA in Human Resource Management.

Kelly Uebel - Chief Legal Officer

Kelly Uebel, General Counsel for Asurint, joined the screening industry in 2011 following several years working in the electronic discovery, computer forensics and data recovery space. In her current role, Kelly oversees the teams responsible for counseling staff on legal and regulatory risks and requirements. This includes providing subject matter expertise, and monitoring and evaluating proposed and existing laws and regulations from the local, state, federal and international level that impact background screening. In addition to her role at Asurint, Kelly serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Professional Background Screening Association (PBSA). In this capacity, Kelly also acts as Board Liaison to the Government Relations Committee where she previously served as co-chair from 2015-2017. The Government Relations Committee, in conjunction with PBSA's lobbyists on the state and federal level, is responsible for tracking and combating potential legislative and regulatory changes that negatively impact CRAs and employers. Kelly also serves on the Advocacy Committee which fosters relationships with other industry and employer associations. Previously, Kelly worked as General Counsel for Info Cubic, Legal Counsel - Global Regulatory Affairs for First Advantage and as a Compliance Officer focused on domestic and international screening issues for Verifications, Inc. Prior to joining the background screening industry, Kelly worked as a law clerk and attorney focused on thought leadership for Kroll Ontrack. Kelly holds a law degree from William Mitchell College of Law, and received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (with a concentration on law and politics) and a Minor in Management from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Kelly is admitted to the Minnesota bar.

Renee Rupp

A strategic, forward-thinking innovator, Renee Rupp brings over 20 years of professional experience to Asurint in her current role as Senior Vice President of Operations. In her role at Asurint, Renee leads the Operations department that consists of: Verifications, Records Research, Client Relations, Client Implementations and Data Services. Her main focus is strategic operational objectives focused on the customer experience and how Asurint works with its clients and prospective clients. Renee oversees Asurint's daily activities, initiatives and management of more than 200 employees committed to developing high performance teams and maximizing customer satisfaction for Asurint. Prior to joining the Asurint leadership team, Renee gained extensive experience managing operational and customer-centric teams for 21 years at Medical Mutual of Ohio. In her most recent role there as Vice President of Customer Care, she led over 400 associates spanning three locations fielding 2.3 million calls annually. She also served as Vice President of Account Management and Implementations at ExactCare, a private equity business-to-business medication management company. Outside of work, Renee is involved in her local community and schools participates in Junior Achievement, Make-A-Wish and was a former member of United Way of Greater Cleveland western region cabinet generating additional financial support from community businesses. Renee is a graduate of Bowling Green University with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Human Resources and Healthcare Administration. She holds an MBA from Baldwin Wallace University. She is a native of Cleveland, where she currently lives with her husband and three children.
