Anton Gleason

Brigid Flynn

Brigid Flynn is a graduate from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology with a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology and a concentration in addictions treatment. Prior to earning her M.A., Brigid was a special education teacher. She taught all grades and enjoyed working with children and teens. Brigid has experience providing individual therapy, crisis intervention, and group therapy. Brigid is passionate about helping others and working with them to succeed and cope with life's challenges.

Christy Wang

Christy is a bilingual Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who specializes in providing culturally sensitive services for clients with diverse backgrounds. She earned her master's degree in community counseling at Argosy University and is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision also at Argosy University. Christy has worked as a mental health counselor in an immigrant- focused community agency and as a school counselor in a K-12 school with a diverse student population. She is experienced at providing individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and consultation for individuals, families, and colleagues. Christy also has supervised master-level counselor students, and she served as a teaching assistant in classes such as Advanced Counseling Skills, Substance Abuse Counseling, and Diagnostic and Treatment Planning. In addition, she has presented at numerous professional conferences and workshops on topics such as cross-cultural supervision and the relationship between media and trauma. She is currently preparing to present at a workshop on workplace transition. Christy has worked with clients from more than 14 countries, helping them make sense of their experience and use existing strength to build and thrive in adversity. She has assisted clients experiencing depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, trauma, with psychosis, ADHD and OCD. Christy is passionate in advocating for the mental health community and is eager to help people strengthen their capacity to care for themselves and others.

Elizabeth Bruner

Elizabeth brings immense experience as an educator to her work at CCC, and she is known for her enthusiasm, warmth, and effectiveness. Elizabeth is our practice manager and is the first point of contact for many of our clients. She is happy to assist with any questions about scheduling, billing, or insurance. Elizabeth spent eighteen years as a teacher at independent schools, including many years at The Ancona School in Hyde Park. Although she has focused most of her professional life on the teaching of reading and writing, she also has experience teaching social studies and working with a wide variety of subject areas and students. Additionally, Elizabeth completed the Rush Neurobehavioral Executive Functioning workshop for teachers and has led executive functioning sessions for students. With degrees from Yale and the University of Chicago, she has vast knowledge of her content areas. Joe Anderson

Joe works with children, teens, and young adults, and specializes in clients who are struggling with social isolation, loneliness, depression, and anxiety. He currently runs the Fellowship, City Counseling's therapeutic Dungeons and Dragons group for children ages 9 to 13. He believes that the key to change is creating a safe and non-judgmental space where the client is free to explore their inner world. Joe is a graduate from the University of Chicago, with a B.A. in sociology, and the Institute for Clinical Social Work, with an M.A. in clinical counseling. Before working as a therapist, Joe was a writer and curriculum designer for the Escoffier School of Culinary Arts.

Melissa Prohammer

she/they Melissa Prohammer, MA, LCPC, specializes in compassionate, trauma-informed counseling for older children, teens, and adults.

Michael Bruner

he/his Michael works with adults of all ages as well as teenagers. He sees many clients who are working through anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, and the effects of trauma.
