I came from a family of food lovers… I was lucky to be born into the best of both worlds, Jamaican Mum and Guyanese Dad so the food I grew up with was diverse and wholesome. Curry Goat & Ackee & Saltfish from Jamaica and Dhal Roti, Curry Chicken or Sweet Bread from Guyana. My all-time FAVOURITE food in the whole wide world was Dumplin's… they called me Dumplin' as a little girl so that's how ‘Brown Shuga Dumplin' was born. I grew up loving how food brought people together, whether it was Sunday Dinners at home to parties and weddings. Even Funerals… everyone brought food and we ate and drank and celebrated the person's life! The passion stayed with me and I trained at Westminster Kingsway College completing an NVQ Professional Cookery Course and a ABC Level 2 Patisserie Course. As a hobby, over the years I have catered many parties, weddings, funerals and other events which led me to set up as a business. The power of word of mouth is amazing and sometimes food speaks for itself, but we also offer great customer service and go above and beyond to ensure your event is a success.
