DIGS REALTY GROUP - Key Persons

Dan Gotlieb - Founder

Job Titles:
  • Founder
Dan Gotlieb is a man obsessed with New York City and its real estate. Moving to Manhattan right after college, he attended law school on the Upper West Side and has lived all over the City - the Financial District, Chelsea, the West Village, the Upper West Side, Murray Hill, the East Village and then back to the Upper West Side, where he now lives with his wife, Rebecca (also part of the Digs family), and two boys, Ezra (9) and Owen (7). Dan started his career as a commercial real estate attorney, working primarily on large New York City-based deals, but he was always interested and engaged in the dynamic NYC residential market. Upon getting his real estate broker's license in 2008, he continued to practice law while helping friends, family and clients purchase homes in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens. When Dan found himself studying the residential markets in his free time to better serve his brokerage clients, he knew it was time to take Digs full-time. As the founder of Digs, Dan has found his sweet spot. He especially loves meeting new clients and guiding them to successfully complete the most important transaction of their lives. While he takes pride in offering value - whether steering clients away from deals they should avoid, telling them about that development site next door, connecting them with trusted people they need to get their deal done smoothly, or sharing his legal perspective - his greatest pleasure is significantly reducing his sell-side clients' closing costs and giving giant rebate checks to his buy-side clients to use however they choose. Karine Wittes

Born in New York, Karine grew up in a multi-cultural family that brought her to live half of her life in France and half in New York. She graduated from a Business school in Bordeaux, France, where she began her professional experience in Sales and Marketing. Her parents wisely advised her to invest in real estate at a young age: she bought her first apartment at the age of 25. Her love for New York City's vibrancy and culture brought her back to her hometown, where she has been focusing her career in real estate since 2005. First Karine was a mortgage loan officer, helping hundreds of clients secure their home financing for 10 years. After purchasing a co-op with her family, she decided to convert these experiences into expertise and become a real estate salesperson. Karine will guide you and bring a sense of ease to the process of buying or selling a home in New York City. She works with clients from the start by establishing their needs and all the way through to negotiating an accepted offer and closing the deal smoothly. She currently resides with her husband and two young boys in Flatiron. During her free time, Karine spends time biking with her family through the City, plays Mah Jongg with friends, and sails on the Hudson River.
