Adela Bartova

Job Titles:
  • Management Assistant
Adela is responsible for product promotion and presentation of the iBodies products. Due to her negotiation skills and experience both in the Scientific and Trade field she is able to present the company idea and achievements to new Investors and Co-Developers. Adela is a former IOCB employee, who studied at the Charles University in Prague, and worked in Sandoz (Novartis Group) and at the U.S.Embassy Prague (FCU Trade department).

Adela Provaznikova

Job Titles:
  • Research Associate
Adela is currently a PhD student in Organic Chemistry at Jan Konvalinka´s laboratory, IOCB Prague. Together with Petr Simon, she is responsible for the synthesis of small molecule ligands and inhibitors. Adela earned her BSc degree in Biochemistry and MSc degree in Organic Chemistry at the Charles University in Prague, CZ.

Adriana Ceresnikova

Job Titles:

Adriana Ceresnikova has extensive experience in structural and molecular biology, specifically in protein expression and purification, crystallization and data analysis. When earning her PhD at the IOCB, she performed the functional and structural analysis of PI4P lipid kinase and revealed the mechanism of its action and association with the membrane. As a member of the iBodies team, Adriana participates in development of immunoassays using iBodies as a potential tracer. She also collaborates with the Technology Transfer Office (IOCB TECH), providing project management support.

Dr. Tomas Etrych

  • Head of the Department of Biomedical Polymers of the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry
Dr. Tomas Etrych is a Head of the Department of Biomedical Polymers of the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry. He received his MSc and PhD degree in polymer chemistry from the Charles University in Prague. In 2017 he received the prestigious title of Doctor of Science from the Czech Academy of Sciences. His research interest is focused on the development of water-soluble and micellar polymeric carriers for drugs, suitable for targeted therapy of neoplastic and inflammatory diseases. Development of polymer probes for navigated surgery also belongs among his main research topics.

Ing. Libor Kostka

Libor is a junior research scientist in the Laboratory of Biomedical Polymers, Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague. He is responsible for the preparation of polymer precursors and their conjugation with ligands. Libor obtained his master and PhD degree in Polymer Science from The University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague. However, his PhD thesis was pursued in the Laboratory of Biomedical Polymers in the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry.

Ing. Vladimir Subr

Vladimir is a senior research scientist in the Laboratory of Biomedical Polymers, Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry AS CR in Prague, CZ. He is responsible for preparation of polymer precursors and their conjugation with ligands. Vladimir obtained his master degree in Polymer Science from the Institute of Chemical Technology in Prague. He earned his PhD degree in Polymer Science from the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry of the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences.

Jana Beranova

Jana Beranova joined the iBodies team as a research associate in 2017. She is responsible for development and general characterization of iBodies and for their optimization by modulating individual substituents or linkers. Jana also tests new generations of FAP (Fibroblast Activation Protein) inhibitors using the iBodies approach. Jana earned her MSc degree in Biological Chemistry from the Johannes Kepler University in Linz, Austria and from the Southern Bohemian University in Czech Budweis.

Martin Hadzima

Martin Hadzima earned his MSc degree from the Charles University in Prague where he gained a substantial background in organic chemistry. As a junior scientist in the iBodies team, Martin is responsible for the design and synthesis of small molecule ligands/inhibitors and "UV iBodies" probes.

Natan Sidej

Job Titles:

Natan is an undergraduate student in Jan Konvalinka's lab at the IOCB. He assists junior scientists in the synthesis of inhibitors/ligands and their modified variants. Currently, he is studying to earn his BSc in Chemistry at the Charles University in Prague.

Pavel Sacha

Pavel Sacha is a postdoctoral fellow in Jan Konvalinka's laboratory, Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry AS CR, Prague. He is responsible for the management of the research projects within the group. Pavel received his MSc and PhD in biochemistry at the at Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic

Prof. Ing. Martin Fusek

Martin Fusek is a Vice Director for Strategic Development at the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, ASCR in Prague and a CEO of a technology transfer company at the mentioned institute (IOCB TTO). After spending 6 years as a postdoc in laboratories in USA and Germany he started to work in industry, specifically for Sigma-Aldrich and Merck companies. Since 2007 he has been focusing on the technology transfer at the IOCB in Prague, CZ. Before pursuing his PhD in Biochemistry at IOCB (1984-1988), Martin received his MSc in Organic Chemistry at the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague.

RNDr. Jiri Moos

Jiri serves as a Business Development Manager of IOCB Tech, supporting strategic planning and commercial development of the most advanced iBodies applications. Jiri Moos is also In-licensing Manager of i&i Prague, the chairman of TACR GAMA Commercialization Board at the Institute of Molecular Genetics in Prague, and an external member of the Supervisory Board at the Institute of Biotechnology AS CR. Jiri received a Ph.D. (CSc.) in Biology from the Institute of Molecular Genetics, AS CR in Prague, followed by postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. His commercial experiences include various manager positions in Sales and Marketing at Sigma-Aldrich, Beckman Coulter, Merck and DiaSorin.

Tereza Ormsby

Job Titles:
  • Project Leader
Tereza Ormsby is leading the iBodies project at the IOCB. Tereza develops protocols for using iBodies to identify unknown drugs targets. She also helps to further improve the sensitivity of iBodies for diagnostics. Tereza has broad expertise in biochemistry, genetics and immunology. She spent several years as a postdoctoral researcher in the US. At the University of Colorado in Boulder, she studied the role of non-coding RNAs and their interactions with proteins. Later, at the University of Oregon, she investigated the mechanisms of heterochromatin establishment and maintenance. Tereza earned her PhD in Immunology and MSc in Biochemistry from the Charles University in Prague for work on various signaling pathways in leukocytes.
