Abe Matar

Born in Jerusalem, Abe came to the US to go to school in 1987. After completing his Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from San Jose State University, he began his career working for Silicon Valley companies such as Apple, EO, an AT&T subsidiary, and Compression Labs. During that period, he developed experience and knowledge in managing and running engineering projects in the communications field. As a founding member of INOW Internet Services, Abe has been involved in the day-to-day operation & management of the business, and is overseeing its expansion.

David Caney - Chief Legal Officer

David Caney's extensive legal experience includes private law practice in litigation and positions with the District of Columbia as Chief, Office of Contract Administration, for the Department of Public Works, and Administrator of the Building and Land Regulation Administration (Mayoral Appointee). Prior to this, David was Senior Consultant for Hill, International, Inc. Earlier, he was the Staff Director of the Subcommittee on Governmental Activities and Transportation, Committee on Governmental Operations, U.S. House of Representatives. David holds a Bachelor of Architecture and a BS in English, both from Carnegie-Mellon University. He received his Juris Doctorate from Antioch School of Law, Washington, D.C. He is a member of the District of Columbia Bar.

David Schwartz - CEO, President

Prior to founding ImaginOn in 1996, David Schwartz, IEEE, AES, was Vice President of New Media Systems & Technology at Atari Corporation, where he invented GameFilm technology for videogame applications, and served as a principal engineer of the Atari Jaguar CD peripheral. Prior to Atari, David headed the software team at Tandy Research that developed the first erasable CD recorder/player. Schwartz started CompuSonics Corporation, which went public in 1984. In 1985, CompuSonics introduced the CompuSonics DSP1000, the first consumer digital audio disk recorder. The CompuSonics Video PC MovieMaker, introduced in 1986, demonstrated real-time digital video recording and editing on a desktop PC. David received a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Carnegie Mellon University, after completing a multi-disciplinary program in Architecture, Engineering and Computer Science. He also participated in post-graduate studies at Carnegie Mellon in the School of Industrial Administration. David has been granted twelve US Patents for his inventions and published numerous technical papers.

James Newcomb - CFO

James Newcomb comes to ImaginOn from Displaytech, Inc., Longmont, Colorado, a privately held company that manufactures high resolution micro displays. As Chief Financial Officer of this company, Newcomb played a key role in implementing the financial aspects of DisplaytechÕs key alliances, both domestically and internationally. Before this, he was with the NASDAQ listed Fischer Imaging Corporation, Denver, Colorado, where he served from 1995 through 1998 as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. At Fischer, Newcomb managed all aspects of finance and control for this $75-million manufacturer of medical X-ray equipment, including those of foreign subsidiaries in Europe and Asia. In June 1996, he successfully completed Fischer's secondary stock offering of 1.4-million common shares, raising $13.5-million in new equity for the company. Previously, Newcomb held the position of Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at the $200-million computer services firm, Neodata Services, Inc., from 1993 to 1994. From 1989 through 1993 he was Vice President and Controller at NYSE listed Teco Energy, Inc. a $1.2-billion diversified electric utility holding company. A member in good standing of the Financial Executives Institute, James A. Newcomb was awarded a Masters of Business Administration degree in Finance by the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Beloit College, Beloit, Wisconsin.

Rebecca Gray - CMO

Rebecca comes to ImaginOn from E-On Entertainment Online, where she was Marketing Manager and also managed the start-up of their U.S. office. Her experience includes marketing positions at Ocean of America, Sega, Foote Cone Belding, and Sunset Magazine. Rebecca holds an MBA in Marketing from San Francisco State University, and a BA degree in Communications/Visual Arts from UC San Diego. Both degrees were earned with honors.
