Mitchell J. Sankey is the President of Iowa Private Equity, LLC. He joined IPE with experience across all major asset types and has served both debt and equity commercial real estate investors. Having served on a multi-billion-dollar CMBS buy-side team, for a $50 billion dollar Iowa based Insurance Company, assisting in over $1 billion of total acquisitions, and $2 billion dollars of portfolio rebalancing. In addition, Mitchell served as the Team Lead for Credit and Portfolio Management for a $5.6 billion private real estate platform who provided REIT, fund, and 1031 DST portfolios. As team leader, Mitchell oversaw the analysis of new tenants, developed the pricing model for new acquisitions, worked to develop a long-term portfolio management strategy, and led the review of performance and distribution updates to investors of the firm. Mitchell is a proud husband and father of two who enjoys family time, golf, attending athletic events, outdoor recreation, and currently serves on the Alumni Board for Iowa State Delta Chi.
