The Lowy Group, as it is now known, developed its core hotel base in the UK's Capital with the acquisition of Umi London, Bayswater and the Burns Hotel, Earls Court. In 2000, its first foray outside London resulted in the Group purchase of the Kings Hotel in the popular southern coastal resort of Brighton. In the four years following, the business added the equally impressive seafront Queens, Umi Brighton and Best Western Brighton Hotels to establish itself as one of the most prominent hotel operators in a leading British holiday destination.
