MINDFUL SENSORY - Key Persons
I qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1997 and have twenty-five years experience working for the NHS in both physical and mental health settings. I'm trained in a wide range of approaches for mental health conditions including anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder and psychosis.
In 2022 I left my post in community mental health to set up in independent practice so that I could specialise in the areas of trauma and neurodiversity. Currently, I'm studying for a postgraduate qualification in sensory integration to enable me to incorporate sensory strategies and Ayres Sensory Integration® into my core Occupational Therapy practice.
I'm a qualified Mindfulness teacher and find mindfulness very helpful both professionally and personally. I trained with Mindfulness Scotland, and I undertake regular training and supervision for my mindfulness teaching.
