DAMAS ORTHODONTICS - Key Persons

Dr. John M. Damas attended Northwestern University for his pre-dental education before attending and graduating from the University of Illinois, College of Dentistry. He then continued his dental education and completed his orthodontic specialty residency at the University of Illinois, Department of Orthodontics. He is a member of several professional organizations and is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and a member of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics. Less than 30% of all orthodontists have qualified for Board certification. Natives of Chicago, Dr. Damas and his wife of over 40 years, Nancy, reside in Lemont and enjoy a variety of activities including traveling, gardening, watching movies, and year-round grilling. Both are very committed to their family and enjoy spending quality time with them. Their daughter, Beth, is married with one daughter and one son and is an Endodontist with offices in Orland Park and Geneva. Their son, John, is married with two daughters and is general manager of Luxbar, a Gibson Group restaurant in Chicago. They all enjoy many activities together and often travel as an extended family. Dr. Damas' hobbies include skiing, SCUBA diving, reading, stargazing, gardening and puttering around the house. He is a PADI scuba diving Master Instructor and has taught over 200 people to dive. When Dr. Damas is not enjoying the company of his wife or grand children, he most enjoys the outdoors when he is riding on his customized Harley Davidson Screamin' Eagle Road King.
