We are a local, family run, licensed open air restaurant and takeaway fish and shellfish shop, with an onsite fishmonger, based right on the edge of Mersea's beautiful estuary waters... Boasting our own private waterside seating area, we serve the freshest of seafood, with delights ranging from popular seafood platters to local Mersea oysters and freshly cooked seafood dishes to hand picked dressed crabs, and more!... As well as buying the catch of many of our local fishermen, The Dukes' own fishing boat regularly goes to sea, and so we pride ourselves on being able to land, source and supply the freshest of local fish, to complement our wet fish counter each week. Our onsite fishmonger is available to fillet and prepare your fish to your requirements, as well as give expert knowledge on the best choices of the season. This means our brilliant kitchen team also have the best and freshest seafood of the season to work with!
