Tierra Verde is now one of the most recognized travel agencies in Costa Rica. We are just as proud of our long-standing, good business relationships with tour operators and service providers, which we are constantly expanding, as we are of the above-average satisfaction of our guests... We are Aventuras Tierra Verde, a sustainable tour operator based in Costa Rica, founded in 1995 by two German expats. Our office is located in beautiful Ciudad Colon, about 30 minutes outside the turbulent capital of San Jose... In 2012, Tierra Verde received the highest possible Category 5 of the CST sustainability certification; Since 2016, we have also been a Rainforest Alliance-certified tour operator that meets internationally recognized, global sustainability criteria. Furthermore, Tierra Verde received a 4-star award in 2016 as part of the ecological program "Blue Flag" (Bandera Azul Ecológica).
