PVOH is a material with the property that it possesses an oxygen barrier similar to the copolymer of ethylene and vinyl alcohol. (EVOH), but which, in contrast, has certain peculiarities, such as relative solubility in water and biodegradability...
PVOH is a synthetic polymer and is a substance made up of many molecules linked together. PVOH begins its life as ethylene (a natural gaseous hormone emitted by plants; one of its functions is to help plants ripen their fruits. In our case, ethylene is produced synthetically (but it is identical to what you can found in nature), which undergoes a chemical reaction with oxygen and acetic acid (in a dilute form known as vinegar), then polymerizes (joins to form repeating molecules), then transforms into a family of alcohol to finally result in a water-soluble or water-soluble polymer...
Standards that guarantee that Polivitalio® is biodegradable in: land, fresh water, sea water, landfill and with a high content of solid waste.
