Dan Faber - Founder

Dan Faber is the co-founder and Executive Director of Faber Inc. Dan is a Chartered Accountant (CA), Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) and Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT). Dan has over 34 years of experience in providing consumer and corporate insolvency and restructuring services throughout an extensive range of industries. Dan has assisted thousands of individual consumers resolve their financial difficulties and achieve a "fresh financial start" through a consumer proposal to creditors or a personal bankruptcy. Throughout his professional career, Dan has acted extensively as an advisor to corporate debtors in performing financial and viability assessments, mediating shareholder and partner disputes, providing turnaround management expertise, and administering Division I Proposals and corporate bankruptcy proceedings. Dan has also acted as an advisor to corporate creditors and secured lenders in performing viability assessments, security reviews, financial investigations and financial reporting, acting as private or court-appointed Receiver and Manager, acting as court-appointed Interim Receiver and as agent for secured creditors in corporate bankruptcy proceedings.

Dan McDicken is the President and CEO of Faber Inc. Dan is a Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) and Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT). Dan has over 32 years of experience in providing consumer and corporate insolvency and restructuring services throughout an extensive range of industries. Dan has assisted thousands of individual consumers resolve their financial difficulties and achieve a "fresh financial start" through a consumer proposal to creditors or a personal bankruptcy. Throughout his professional career, Dan has acted extensively as an advisor to corporate debtors in performing financial and viability assessments, mediating shareholder and partner disputes, providing turnaround management expertise, and administering Division I Proposals and corporate bankruptcy proceedings. Delphine Beleh

Delphine's primary duties include the administration of Consumer Proposals and Asset Realization in Bankrupt Estates. She provides clients with information on the status of their files and helps them better understand the processes involved. She also assists them with any concerns they may have with creditors regarding collection activity. The thing she likes best about the job is providing help to individuals who need it and making life less stressful for them. Delphine holds a Master's degree in Governance and Development from the Institute of Development Policy and Management, University of Antwerp, Belgium. She also holds a Bachelor's degree in History and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from the University of Buea, Cameroon. In addition, she holds a Diploma in Administrative Assistant Studies from Shadd Business Centre, Montreal, Quebec. Delphine joined the Faber Inc. team in the summer of 2015 after transferring from Calgary, where she worked as an Asset Realization Coordinator with a Trustee office for five (5) years. Delphine is a Commissioner for Oaths in and for the Province of Alberta. Delphine is an ardent chorister, loves classical music and she feels that her smile keeps her going. Not only does it brighten her day, it brightens the day of the people she meets.

Justin McGuckin

Since 2016, Justin has been working with Faber, helping average Albertans solve their debt problems. Seeing people find a debt restructuring solution is his favourite part of the job. In his role as a Secondary Analyst he backs up the senior analysts with file management, reviews and correspondence. Prior to arriving at Faber, Justin worked for a number of years with BDO Canada Ltd and Bill McCulloch & Associates Inc. Justin is also a big sports lover so when he's not helping people find a new financial start, he'll be cheering on his favourite teams.

Karen Horvath - VP

Working exclusively in the insolvency industry in Edmonton since 1989, Karen began her career with corporate recovery and restructuring engagements, receiverships, bankruptcies, business reviews, liquidations and monitorships. She found her passion in dealing with the consumer debtor and has devoted the last 15 years primarily helping individuals and small business owners get a fresh start. Karen offers an innovative approach to help consumer debtors formulate successful proposals to their creditors and assists her clients every step of the way. In 1999, Karen received her designation as a Chartered Insolvency & Restructuring Professional (CIRP) and Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT). Today, as a Vice President with Faber, she travels to our various offices as required. Karen is a member of: the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals, and the Alberta Association of Insolvency & Restructuring Professionals. She finds time to mark exams for the CAIRP in Toronto and speak at engagements throughout the community including: the University of Alberta Insolvency 101 class, regular group meetings in Edmonton and Grande Prairie, and on 630 CHED's Talk To The Experts.

Mark Bigam

Mark who has over 30 years of experience, has been with Faber since 2005 handling all banking aspects for the firm. He is responsible for the posting of the payments received from our clients in Edmonton and our satellite offices. Mark is the Property Manager responsible for the daily operation of the building and is the firm's Human Resource Officer.

Michael Rowley

Michael joined Faber in 2016 after obtaining his Chartered Accountant designation. As a Senior Analyst at Faber, Michael's primary roles include administration of personal bankruptcies and counselling. Michael enjoys assisting individuals in completing the duties of their bankruptcy and is always excited when his clients receive an Absolute Discharge. Michael is studying to become a Licensed Insolvency Trustee.

Richard Adeyemo

​​In 2019, Richard joined the Faber team as a Senior Analyst. Richard's role includes the Administration of Personal bankruptcies, including both Summary and Ordinary Administration. Richards favourite part of the job is helping people attain confidence and freedom that have been affected by financial pressures in their lives through the insolvency process. Richard holds a BSc of Accounting with honours from Kogi State University in Nigeria. He also possesses a diploma in Digital Media and IT with an emphasis in Business Analysis from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. Richard is an avid traveller. He enjoys exploring new places. He has visited over 25 countries in the world. Meeting new people and learning about different cultures and experiences have always been a passion for Richard. Having moved to Canada over 6 years ago, he now looks to explore more of the hidden gems in the country.
