Alison joined our team in 2022 after previously working in a Doctors surgery for 8 years. You will most likely find Alison spending time with her family and doing renovations in her lovely home in the Nairn countryside. Alison has a lovely little 13-year-old Jack Russel Holly and two Guinea pigs. She is a huge animal lover and loves greeting all the pets that come into our practice.

Beth joined us in May 2022 after a career change from working in the building industry. She has always adored animals and has three cats of her own, two rescues from Stornoway and a stray kitten that was handed into our Argyle Street surgery. She also has a dog who is a Collie, Lab and Golden Retriever mix who, for being 9 years old, is always full of beans (not hard to imagine with the mix!). She also enjoys travelling, exploring the beautiful Scottish Highlands and, in her spare time, is renovating her house with her partner.

Bryony has been with us for 7 years now, starting her journey with us is 2016. She spent her firstthree years with us training to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse and received her qualificationin 2019. Bryony has a huge love and interest of animals and before joining our team she worked with andtrained horses for 16 years in Berkshire and locally in the Ross-shire area. Outside of work Bryony enjoys spending her time outdoors, boating or walking and looking after hermany pets! She has three dogs, a cat, six chickens, a cockerel, a horse and a miniature Shetland!She is also looking to add some pigmy goats to her family.

Dan is particularly interested in all cases surgical, and any that may require further investigations or have a practical aspect! Being practical oriented and (somewhat) socially capable, Dan finds veterinary a good fit for his personality. In his spare time, Dan enjoys being active and going to the gym, playing golf on the weekend and socialising with friends whenever he can. Saying that, you wouldn't be pushed to find him enjoying a coffee with his feet up in the evening either.

Emily is one of our Student Veterinary Nurses who joined us in 2022 as a Veterinary Care Assistant(VCA) and is now taking the next step in her career. Before starting with us, Emily was previously a VCA at the veterinary practice in South Uist, which iswhere she grew up! Emily loves island life, when she goes back home to visit her family she enjoysgoing fishing with her dad and getting to see her adorable Cavapoo, Otis.

Emily qualified in July 2022 after studying at Edinburgh Napier for a year and then transferring to thelocal UHI. Emily is a Highland girl through and through! She grew up in Brora - a wee village on the East Coast,she spent her time helping farmers during the lambing and calving season and still helps out todayon her days off. Emily plays the bagpipes and is a member of the Woman's Highland Rugby Club.Emily also has her wee dog Buddy, a gorgeous golden cocker spaniel, who is the sweetest boy andwho she loves spending her time with!

Erin is from Chilliwack, British Columbia in Canada. She moved to Scotland in 2013 to attend veterinary school at the Royal Dick School of Veterinary Medicine in Edinburgh. After graduating she worked in Elgin for five years. Initially as a mixed practice vet and later focusing solely on small animal work. Erin's main interests lie in internal medicine and ultrasonography. In her spare time she enjoys knitting sweaters, cooking and exploring all parts of Scotland with her husband, son and sighthound Uisge.

Esti De Wet

Esti qualified in 2018 from the University of Pretoria in South Africa. Before moving to Scotland, Esti worked in South Africa as a welfare state veterinarian working with companion animals, farm animals and wild seabirds such as the African penguin. Esti moved to Scotland in 2021 and worked as a mixed animal vet in the northern Highlands of Scotland and joined Crown Vets in 2023. She has a special interest in surgery but overall loves being a veterinarian. In her personal time Esti loves spending time with her dogs, loved ones, exploring the Highlands, enjoying the wonderful seafood, travelling globally and occasionally painting.

She enjoys spending time in her garden growing vegetables, going on lots of different walks and adventureswith her family and is her mums go-to dog sitter for her three sausage dogs, who also love to keepher busy.

Lisa joined with us at the end of 2021 after previously working in human pharmacy. She grew up in Edinburgh, then moving to Fort William, but has now settled with her family in Inverness. She lives with her husband, two girls and her lovely spaniel Todd. Outside of work Lisa enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Her two girls are very involved in dancing; Lisa has travelled with them across the world to Florida to complete in the World Championships and spends many weekends going to exciting competitions with them.

Lorraine joined the reception team at Culloden Veterinary Clinic back in February 2014 and is nowone of the Client Service Assistants with Crown Vets since we merged in April 2018. She enjoys meeting all our clients and pets, both old and new, and feels lucky to work with such a lovely team. Lorraine was born and raised in Inverness and lives with her husband, 2 elderly cats and the love ofher life Harvey who is her handsome cocker spaniel. She likes to make the most of the beautifulsurroundings by getting out for long walks, jogging and cycling and also enjoys catching up withfriends and family in her spare time.

Melanie is originally from Staffordshire and went to university in Bristol where she graduated from Vet School in 2008. She moved up to join us after spending her first few years working near Chester. Her main interest at work is preventative medicine and care of the geriatric patient. Melanie has an interest in oncology (cancer medicine) and is developing our chemotherapy service. Out of work she enjoys walking, climbing, walking her little rescue dog (Bracken).

Nicola joined Crown Vets in June 2021 and works mainly at the Culloden Surgery, where she enjoys meeting all the pets and their owners, especially the puppies. Her own 3 dogs keep her very busy out of work. Max a Cavachon and 2 miniature dachshunds called Winnie and Ozzie. Also, there is a pet Silkie Hen called Wooky who rules the roost! and lives in the house with the dogs. Nicola is also a keen horse rider, when time allows.

Sam Smith

Sam Graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2014 and after some travels he came back to a croft in the Highlands and joined the team at Crown Vets in 2018. He has an interest in canine and feline medicine and is also is fully qualified to offer acupuncture as an additional treatment when appropriate. Sam has also formed 'The Green Machine' along with other colleagues to focus on our environmental sustainability plans here at Crown. In his spare time, Sam is kept busy with his Cocker Spaniel, Dora. He also enjoys playing underwater hockey, cooking, getting outdoors and learning everything he can about his honey bees that arrived this summer!

Scott trained and graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 1995. He worked in New Deer, Aberdeen for two years, then moved to Inverurie at a mixed practice, where he worked for 18 years. Scott has now moved back to Inverness where he used to attend Millburn Academy. He lives with his wife, three children and his Bearded Collie called Obi. His interests include all sports - especially football, rugby and golf.

Simon graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2018, since then he has worked in hospitals over Scotland and Northern England. He joined our practice at the beginning of 2021 and is interested in general practice surgery, endoscopy and medicine. Outside of work Simon enjoys living in the Highlands, sampling local gins, hill running, climbing and mountain biking, and is coming up to complete his first round of the Munros.

In her spare time, you'll often find her in the kitchen baking up some yummy treats (which she occasionally brings in for her colleagues) she also enjoys photography, art and spending time with her completely crazy cocker spaniel Monte.
