Alison Whitehurst

Alison Whitehurst (BA) (PGCE) Curriculum Director, Net-Teach Ltd. Alison is currently working as Curriculum Director for Net-Teach and is an educational consultant and developer of educational resources for students and teachers around the world. Most recently, Alison worked in programme research and development for the International Baccalaureate Organization as Curriculum Manager of the Diploma Programme group 1 courses (studies in language and literature). An experienced, qualified former teacher and net-teach examiner of IB courses (English group 1 and 2 courses and theatre), UK national courses (GCSE, A level and Key skills), and Finnish national courses (English language). Alison also has extensive distance teaching and e-learning experience.

Karen Ardouin

Karen Ardouin (MA) (S.I.A.D) Director, Net-Teach Ltd. Karen is the director of Net-Teach, which started in August 2012. In the first year the company taught five subjects to 47 students across a number of schools and home-education platforms. Karen started her career editing for the BBC in Ealing, London and went on to edit feature films. She started lecturing in Film and Animation at degree level for the University of Swansea where she completed her Masters Degree and went on to complete her full BECTU training and a diploma in Counselling and Art Therapy. Karen is also an examiner for the WJEC and AQA boards and has been an External Examiner for the Animation degree level in Birmingham. Karen has authored materials for Counselling, Mental Health in the Work Place and Film and Animation degree documents. She has also critiqued and written Critical Thinking information packs. Karen was Head of Film and Media at Llandovery College and later at The Wellington Academy, Wiltshire.

Roderick Burdon Marketing Manager, Net-teach Ltd. Rod has been involved in marketing high technology projects for most of his working life. After an engineering apprenticeship and a spell as a technical journalist he worked for an advertising agency, leaving to form his own publicity and marketing consultancy with a wide variety of clients inside and outside the educational sphere.
