Chris Potter has been working in Primary Education since 1994. He has been a Class Teacher, Curriculum Leader for Music and ICT, Deputy and a Headteacher. During that time, Chris has gained a wealth of experience in getting children to express themselves creatively through music and drama.
Chris Potter's love for working as a roll-up-your-sleeves-and-get-stuck-in music educator has led to him taking the decision to leave leadership and offer his skills and his love for creative learning to a wider audience.
In Chris's ‘spare' time, he is a composer, singer, conductor, French Horn player and self-confessed addict of everything to do with computers and gadgets! He is extremely excited about being able to share with you his love for embedded, meaningful creative learning.

Ellen Evans' formal teaching career began in London in 1997 before she returned to Wales and held roles including KS3 music co-ordinator, Head of Music in a secondary school and more recently as a Network Leader of Learning for the regional consortium. In the latter Ellen worked supporting primary schools with their preparations for the New Curriculum for Wales with a particular focus on the DCF and Health and Wellbeing. Whilst her classroom career was spent working in secondary schools this role also saw Ellen Evans undertake the delivery of extensive primary transition projects in addition to providing advice, training and support for colleagues in the delivery of music across all Keystages and the effective use of music technology in both the primary and secondary sectors.

Huw Duggan has worked in a range of roles, in a number of local authorities, and countries. His fascination with education and learning began when he was diagnosed as dyslexic at university, which steered him on his career in to education. This career path began as a learning support assistant in a difficult inner-city school in Leeds, before becoming a qualified teacher, and successful school leader. Eventually he was drawn back to Wales, on secondment, to support the Central South Consortium's vision of a school led system. Huw is currently educational director of the ‘Right Learning Company' based in South Wales. He was a Fast Track teacher and one of the youngest deputies to achieve NPQH at 28. Huw ran a cohort 1 teaching school in Oldham where he was responsible for 900 NQTs across the LA; ran Oldham's teaching pool; facilitated school to school support and developed a highly successful school direct programme with Huddersfield University. As a Strategic Advisor for Central South Consortium, Huw was responsible for effectively developing and communicating the region's strategy designed to close the achievement gap. As well as challenging and supporting schools in 5 LA's regarding the performance of FSM pupils and the impact of the Pupil Development Grant. Jayne Etherington is an education consultant who has been working in schools and the advisory service for over 30 years. She has had extensive experience, working across four counties in Wales, as a primary teacher, a senior leader, local authority Literacy Adviser and Challenge Adviser.
Jayne delivers in-school or online support and training for all aspects of language and literacy. She offers whole school literacy audits to assist with effective self-evaluation and school improvement. She also advises on planning for progression in LLC and designing a creative, literature-inspired curriculum.
She is passionate about the outdoors and protecting the environment and this underpins much of her work. For 10 years Jayne was a Language and Literacy Adviser, working for Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire local authorities. She provided bespoke support for schools, delivered highly effective training and created resources to inspire quality teaching and learning.
In recent years, as a Challenge Adviser in Carmarthenshire, Jayne has advised head teachers and senior leaders on whole school improvement, including vision and design for the Curriculum for Wales (CfW) and effective pedagogy. She has taken a strategic lead in English literacy, outdoor learning and sustainability. In this role, she has also led successful local and international cross-curricular projects, inspired by literature and nature.
As a qualified life coach, Jayne is passionate about supporting well-being in education. She is available to offer 1:1 coaching for head teachers and to advise senior leadership teams in effective development planning and strategic leadership.
As well as being a member of the Collective Learning team, she is also an independent education consultant, keen to support schools with the Curriculum For Wales at this crucial time in education.
Jen Summers has vast and varied experience in primary education. She has taught in and managed two large multicultural nurseries and was a Senior Leader. She is an ‘Associate of the London College of Music', an experienced musician and a great believer in the creative arts to develop children in the standards agenda.
Jen was the Foundation Phase Training and Support Officer for Newport and then part of a vibrant Foundation Phase Team in the EAS Consortium. She worked closely with schools and settings to ensure high quality Foundation Phase provision for all children across the region. She has delivered extensive training in all aspects of Foundation Phase/Infant pedagogy and practice to diverse audiences including head teachers, senior leaders, teachers, teaching assistants, governors as well as staff in non-maintained settings. Jen works with schools to promote the development of the whole child through rich, engaging and authentic experiences where children increasingly take responsibility for their own learning in order to become confident, competent and resilient learners.
