Adam Rutherford is a British Professor of Genetics and Biosciences, a Sunday Times bestselling author, a broadcaster, and a columnist with over two decades of experience in science and the origin of life. He is an engaging speaker who is sought-after for biosciences, genetics and industry events.

His most recent book published in 2020, aptly titled How to Argue with a Racist: History, Science, Race and Reality, is a Sunday Times Bestseller which tackles the issue of race, discrimination, intelligence and ancestry from a scientific perspective. In 2021 Adam co-authored the Sunday Times Bestseller Rutherford and Fry's Complete Guide to Absolutely Everything with a revision released in 2022. He is currently working on a new book titled Where Are You Really From? which is expected to be released in late 2022.
As a professor and writer, Adam has written numerous journal and scholarly articles. He is also a skilled pundit who has written for major publications and frequent columnist for The Guardian.
Being a figurehead in the scientific community, Adam has consulted on several science fiction movies such as the Academy Award-winning Ex Machina (2015), Netflix's Annihilation (2017) and Devs (2020).
He holds a PhD in Genetics, which he obtained in 2002 from University College London for his work at the UCL Great Ormonde Street Institute of Child Health.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Dr. Mazzarelli is Co-President and Chief Executive Officer of Cooper University Health Care and the Dean of Clinical Affairs for Cooper Medical School of Rowan University. Cooper University Health Care is a $1.7B Academic Medical Center, Level 1 Trauma Center, with over 100 ambulatory locations and an 850-physician multi-specialty faculty practice plan. Prior to his current role, Dr. Mazzarelli served as Cooper's Chief Physician Executive where he oversaw the physician practice, as well as quality/patient safety and continuous process improvement efforts for the health system. He lectures about healthcare policy, bioethics and process improvement within the medical school and residency programs. Dr. Mazzarelli started Cooper's Process Improvement Office, which included the introduction of continuous process improvement principles such as Lean Six Sigma as a methodology for operational efficiency and quality improvement. This helped the organization achieve its first-time recognition as a "Top Performer" by The Joint Commission as well as achieve millions of dollars in savings. Prior to his current role, Dr. Mazzarelli was the Vice President of Strategic Planning and Implementation, responsible for assisting in the development of the latest strategic plan for the health system that was adopted in 2012 and has resulted in the largest growth in the health system's history, with revenue now exceeding well past a billion dollars annually. Aside from growing the size of the practice in both physicians and revenue, Dr. Mazzarelli oversaw the implementation of a variable compensation plan as well as the doubling of physician engagement scores during the same time. He was also one of the three original team members to work on integrating Cooper and Rowan in preparation for the founding of Cooper Medical School of Rowan University and organizing for initial accreditation for the new medical school that graduated its first class in May 2016.
Dr. Mazzarelli received his medical degree from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, his law degree from University of Pennsylvania Law School and his master's in bioethics from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. In 2010, he was awarded the Halo Award for leading a team of 18 health care providers from Cooper into Haiti in the days immediately following the 2010 earthquake. Dr. Mazzarelli has been named one of the 50 most powerful people in New Jersey health care by NJ Biz and NJ ROI. He has been named an ROI Influencer in Health Care for 2022 and named Philadelphia's Most Admired CEO from Philadelphia Business Journal. Jim O'Neill is renowned economist, policy adviser, author, and keynote speaker on the global economy. He was the Chairman of Chatham House until July 2021. Jim O'Neill is a keynote speaker at events around the world & speaks to audiences interested in global finance, economics and emerging markets.
