Abbie joined BCH in 2024 as a Benchmark Appraiser in our Head office in Market Bosworth and will primarily be responsible for providing accurate building insurance eValuations, by using digital sources and the Benchmark Valuation methodology. In her spare time, Abbie enjoys travelling with her husband, family and friends and long walks with her dog, Ginny.

Alyssa joined the BCH Head Office team, based in Market Bosworth, in 2019. Her role as Case Manager sees her working across all product lines, assisting clients daily and supporting our surveying team. Alyssa spends her time away from work creatively and enjoys playing piano and socialising with friends.

Based in the south and travelling frequently to London, Catherine joined the BCH team in January 2018. As Assistant Principal Surveyor, she can carry out appraisals on all types of buildings, including complex listed buildings and has responsibility for reviewing and signing off residential surveys, as well as dealing with customer questions and queries.
Having completed a Masters at Sotheby's, she worked as an Appraiser for Chubb Insurance, based in London and travelling throughout the UK. Catherine especially enjoys surveying in the southwest, as she finds exploring this area through its landscapes and historic houses very rewarding. She enjoys visiting stately homes and finds all vernacular architecture fascinating. Catherine loves art and design of all eras and spends time in Italy where art, fashion, opera delicious food and wine are all in abundance!

Brittany joined the BCH Head Office team, based in Market Bosworth, in 2022. She has worked in an administrative support role since 2016 with her previous positions in emergency services as a tri-service 9-1-1 dispatcher in America and a Crew Commander in Fire Control in the UK. She is a Case Manager which sees her working across all product lines, assisting clients daily, and supporting our surveying team.
Brittany spends her spare time making travel plans with her partner and entertaining her German Shepherd, Poe.

Callum joined BCH in September 2022 after working in a variety of roles within property insurance, including working as a case manager for the largest insurance provider in Australia.
Callum is Based in West Yorkshire and enjoys spending his spare time watching football, going to the gym, and eating Japanese food.

Claire joined BCH in 2022 as Data & Partnerships Principal, focused on forging new ways of using data within the property reinstatement journey, whilst engaging proactively with the Insurer, broker & MGA landscapes. BCH understands that putting data and analytics at the heart of decision making is critical to the insurance market and BCH's position as a leading supplier of Reinstatement Cost Assessments.
Claire joins us as a chartered insurer with over eighteen years of industry experience. Beginning her insurance career in broking in 2004, Claire gained experience fast, progressing to technical underwriting, then eventually account management roles.
Having worked for national brokerages and a large composite insurer, Claire then spent eight years as E-Trading Manager for RSA in the Commercial lines business helping to drive success across a new landscape of digital disruption. Claire also spent almost two years in the Insurance Data sector, successfully addressing the pain points she encountered during her time in the industry.
In her new role at BCH, Claire brings a wealth of knowledge about the digital insurance marketplace, Property Insurance data and broking behaviour, which will offer deep insight to our property reinstatement services.

Clive joined the BCH team in 2020 as a Surveyor. Based in Kent, he works across the South East, focusing mainly on commercial sites and flats. Away from work, Clive enjoys time with his wife and children, films, books and photography.

Connor is one of our Case Managers and he joined the BCH team in 2017. Based in our Market Bosworth office, he supports the surveying team and deals with client enquiries and queries. Outside work he plays guitar and writes his own music.

Based in Derbyshire, Daniel joined the BCH team in 2019. As a Senior Surveyor, he surveys blocks of flats and commercial buildings and travels throughout the UK to these sites. Daniel is working towards his Cert CII Certification. Outside of work Daniel plays lots of sports including football, cricket and squash.

Daniel Lane is a Buildings Insurance Appraiser for Barrett Corp Harrington. Daniel joined BCH in 2018 and is based in South Wales and regularly travels throughout the UK to carry out buildings insurance surveys and reinstatement cost assessments for BCH.
Daniel previously worked in the insurance and construction industry as a Loss Adjuster and Contracts Manager. This experience brings a varied background of knowledge of the insurance and construction industry.
Being a keen motorcycle racer, the building he would most like to assess given the opportunity: Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, preferably during race season.

Daniel joined BCH in April 2023, Previously worked in finance for a housebuilder. Based in Chesterfield, outside of work I enjoy going to music gigs, watching football and cricket, and playing golf.

Freddy Forrest joined BCH in 2009 and is based in Brighton. Freddy covers a widespread area - from Dover to Southampton and Clacton to Swindon to carry out building insurance surveys and appraisals for BCH.
Having previously worked as a farmer before retraining as a surveyor, Freddy brings a detailed knowledge of the construction of buildings and the built environment.
The building he would most like to assess if given the opportunity: Cologne Cathedral, because it's my favourite building and because it would be very challenging appraisal.

Georgia joined the BCH team in 2021 as a Building Insurance Surveyor. She is based in Kent and works across the London and the Southeast, predominantly surveying blocks of flats. In her spare time Georgia loves walking her dog Stanley and supporting her team Liverpool FC.

Greg joined the BCH team as a Building Insurance Surveyor in 2015 and, as a senior member of our team, can carry out surveys on all types of buildings and has responsibility for reviewing and signing off cases. Greg holds an MSc in Building Surveying and Cert CII. Based in Chesterfield, Greg enjoys travelling throughout the UK and occasionally Europe for work.

Hannah joined the BCH team in 2009, having worked as a Quantity Surveyor for a London firm focusing on the cultural sector. She is a Principal Surveyor, with responsibility for overseeing the assessment of large portfolios of flats and managing a team of Building Insurance Surveyors. She continues to carry out surveys on large, complex and luxury blocks of flats, as well as liaising with Property Managing Agents.

Joining the BCH team in 2018, Jack is a Building Insurance Surveyor based in Yorkshire. He appraises flats, commercial and high net worth properties and, when in London, especially enjoys visiting properties in Kensington and Chelsea. As a senior member of our team, he also has responsibility for reviewing and signing off cases and carries out desktop appraisals.
Away from work he likes to travel and play sports and has combined these interests recently by learning to ski.

His career in construction spans multi-million pound commercial buildings to small scale residential works and his hands-on approach from inception through to practical completion gives an in-depth understanding of all phases of a building project.
His primary involvement in live construction projects, particularly in property development from both a client and contractors perspective, means he is able to bring real-time and relevant information to our RCAs.
Jamie holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management. He is on route to achieving his ACIOB status.
Jamie Trewke is Director of Barrett Corp Harrington. Jamie's detailed approach to Quantity Surveying and construction ensures that our Reinstatement Cost Assessments reflect real-world construction costs and are informed by construction principles and practices.

Jeremy Price, FCCA, has carried out the Finance function for BCH since its inception in 2006, becoming Finance & Operations Director in April 2017.
Additionally, Jeremy is responsible for the companies HR, Recruitment and Health and Safety Functions. Away from work, Jeremy enjoys running, cycling and kayaking.

Jess Tonks joined the BCH Head Office team based in Market Bosworth, in 2018. As a Case Manager she deals with customer quotes, enquiries and queries daily.

Lorna Harrington is the ‘H' in BCH! As a founding Director in 2006, she remains an Owner, Director and specialist in the Insurance Valuation of Historic Buildings.
After beginning her career as a Lloyds Broker focusing on art, museums, collections and historic houses, Lorna worked for leading insurers including Chubb and AIG, managing teams of appraisers specialising in large scale residential property and listed risks. Lorna's focus at BCH is now leadership and strategy across the business; with a specific focus on residential and historic buildings. She also manages key account relationships and continues to ensure BCH are the "go to" experts for all things Reinstatement Cost Assessment. Her knowledge and experience has lead to her sitting on the BCIS Heritage Data Steering Committee.
Having completed an MA in History of Art & Architecture at the Courtauld Institute and a Postgraduate Diploma in Conservation of the Historic Environment, Lorna particularly enjoys visiting historic buildings, especially those from the 18th century, as well as anything very contemporary and may have appeared on Grand Designs. Away from work, Lorna enjoys amateur dramatics and musicals, because ‘life is a cabaret'!

Mark has been an Owner and Director of BCH since 2019. Having initially worked as an Appraiser for the company in 2013, he went onto work as a Senior Project Surveyor for a main contractor in the health care industry. He returned to his new role, the hands-on experience gained, aiding the robustness of our process in reporting Commercial Building Reinstatement Cost Assessments. BCH are the UKs market leader for RCAs and Mark is driving the evolution of company strategy and innovation, whilst keeping the customer experience at the centre of these improvements.
Mark holds a BSc(Hons) in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management, Cert CII, is an Associate of the RICS and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Builders.
When away from work Mark enjoys exercise and long-distance running.

Martyn Barrett is the B in BCH and was one of the founding Directors in 2006. Martyn is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS), a Chartered Insurance Practitioner (ACII) and a Chartered Loss Adjuster (FCILA FUEDI-ELAE). It is this triangle of knowledge that is at the bedrock of the service provided by BCH. Having spent 25 years working for major loss adjusting companies, Martyn knows the impact of large losses and the difference that having a correct Reinstatement Cost Assessment can make to the process of settling a claim. His knowledge and experience mean that he is a valued and respected speaker at industry events and sits on the panel responsible for the RICS's Guidance Note on the Reinstatement Cost Assessment of Buildings, 3rd edition, 2018.
His vision for BCH sees the company remaining in the forefront of provision for Reinstatement Cost Assessments for the UK insurance market. Martyn encourages innovation and strives to ensure BCH continues to be a great place to work. He enjoys the buzz of client meetings, particularly those based in many of the country's most iconic buildings.
In his spare time Martyn is a keen runner, undertaking his first marathon aged 55. He also enjoys fell walking and likes to travel, balancing the resultant carbon footprint by conservation work on common land near to home.

After graduating in 2009 with a Degree in Property Development with Quantity Surveying, Zoe worked for BCH appraising retirement accommodation on the south coast. She went on to work in property teams for a leading retailer and as a Professional Quantity Surveyor (PQS) before returning to BCH in 2013. Since then, she has worked as a Building Insurance Surveyor across all building types.
