David Axell

As an avid golfer, most of his spare time is spent on the golf course. A sportsman at heart, he also practises mixed martial arts as well as turning his hand to Judo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. David is well travelled with his wife and frequents many a rock concert throughout the year.

David Freeman - Managing Director

David joined TQR in 2004, acquiring the franchise one year later and then the brand from 2008. From the start David built off his existing reputation by securing long term, honest partnerships with clients. The same ethos and approach remains today, introducing new Account Managers to TQR who demonstrate drive and determination to engrain themselves into our client organisations. Whilst David is the driving force behind TQR, he still offers his professional experience when it comes to Executive Recruitment. David knows what it means to get it right from the top. Personally, David has a lovely wife and four children so naturally promotes internal values which focus on family life and creating a sustainable work life balance for his valued employees.

Geraldine Ives

After 20 years in an Accounts setting and time spent matching vulnerable children with foster families, Geri joined the recruitment world working for a global agency in 2016. Geri has now joined our versatile team at TQR as our Finance and Accounting Specialist. There's nothing Geri loves more than ‘talking finance' and has a real passion for securing that dream finance job for the right candidate. Starting with TQR during the COVID pandemic this introduces a whole new dynamic for Geri, but with her enthusiasm and determination she's driven to make a difference and support her clients through this challenging period. In her spare time, Geri currently enjoys spending time with her daughter before she starts at Exeter University in September 2020 to study Mathematics with Management. Socialising and cooking for friends whilst also listening to an eclectic range of music is also a real passion for Geri.

Jamie Harrison

After spending many years in the property industry in London, Manchester and here in the southwest, Jamie is now into his sixth year as a Recruiter. Jamie has for the last four years specialised as a permanent Hospitality recruiter for the Devon and Cornwall regions. Jamie is very proud to have worked within hospitality during his time living in London, working for some very well-known hotels, such as the Grosvenor House and The Dorchester Hotels on Park Lane. Jamie prides himself on his work, and his relentless drive to support his clients through difficult times and is available for them seven days a week. He also enjoys building relationships with candidates to help find the right long-term fit for them. In his spare time, Jamie loves to spend time with his family but most of all, he enjoys long walks with his German Pointer.

Laura Meadows

Commencing her recruitment career in 2011, Laura quickly established herself and became respected in her field. Loving the buzz and fast pace of temporary recruitment, Laura successfully builds partnerships with clients to support organisational growth and predict when they'll ramp up. Laura has a genuine enthusiasm for commercial recruitment, coupled with a natural flair for industrial placements. In her spare time, Laura loves visiting her parents in Goonhaven with her young family, encouraging her children to beach clean to save the environment. When she has time, Laura also loves the occasional pamper session.

Martin Sandford

Based in Somerset, Martin joined the TQR team as an Account Manager in August 2020. Forming part of TQR's continued growth across the South West, his expertise is in recruiting technical and commercial roles for businesses of all sizes. Martin has lived and worked throughout the South West and has over 10 years' specialist recruitment experience in both global and local recruitment firms as well as running his own business. TQR is a natural fit for Martin's recruitment style. He enjoys partnering with employers and supporting the growth of local businesses by helping them attract, develop, and retain the right people at the right time. Martin's passion is to enhance the customer experience to deliver a high-quality, solution-based recruitment service. Martin has a young family with two fantastically funny school-aged children. He has recently bought his first vintage VW campervan to explore the UK, so he's loving the slower pace of life! He's also a Glastonbury Festival stalwart, having been a volunteer steward there for a number of years.

Rhys Hackney

Rhys began his career in Recruitment in 2018 and has enjoyed working in the industry ever since. He began his career with an independent agency based in Plymouth focusing on both temporary and permanent placements. After 2 years Rhys then moved into HR, but very quickly realised he missed the daily interactions with clients and candidates so returned to recruitment working for a large global business. At TQR, Rhys continues to enjoy working in partnership with his clients and candidates to provide the best possible service. Outside of work, Rhys enjoys spending time with his partner, taking advantage of the South West with all it has to offer. Together they also enjoy watching classic films and planning future adventures to various European capital cities. Rhys is also a big football fan and has a season ticket at Plymouth Argyle. He also helps out and coaches his little brother's football team.

Sam Bosworth - COO

Sam started his career in recruitment in 2009 with a local independent recruitment business before joining a global, multi-sector agency in 2011. Sam's natural ability as a leader became apparent when he moved in-house in 2013 and managed a team of recruiters delivering both temporary and permanent solutions to over 750 locations nationally. Sam's role at TQR commenced in 2017 and focuses on establishing the strategic direction of the business as well as engaging and supporting the team to achieve the best results for our clients and candidates whilst providing exceptional customer service. Sam's passion for recruitment is matched by his desire to develop his team and provide the environment and tools required for their continued success. Outside of work, Sam is a big rugby fan and enjoys coastal walks with the odd stop at a pub along the way.

Samantha Luxton

Commencing her career as a high volume temp consultant in 2002, Samantha still thrives off the fast pace and diversity of the recruitment industry. Part of the TQR furniture from 2011, Samantha has never lost the enthusiasm to make a difference to our clients, whilst always wanting to upskill herself and support others with their development. As a reputable Senior Account Manager, Samantha has developed a real specialism for permanent technical recruitment, as well as demonstrating success in commercial and more senior level roles. Samantha enjoys cooking in her spare time and loves to cook for others. Her dream, to cook for Gerard Butler one day……………!
