Founder Andrew Kay was already a property solicitor and with co-founder, Beatriz Rose, set about the construction of the company that is now admired across the city for its tremendous client focus and ability to achieve result after result.
Andrew is one of the founding directors and shareholders of Arkade Property and currently heads the commercial property department, which deals with the sale and letting of commercial property and the sale and acquisition of businesses as a going concern. His vast knowledge of the legal aspects of these transactions, in addition to his experience of Birmingham property generally, enables him to provide a service of the highest standard across the West Midlands
Personal
Andrew is married with three daughters, Ellen, Roisin and Danielle. Ellen and Roisin are both qualified doctors and Danielle is currently working at Oxford University where she is undertaking research into diabetes. Fiona, his wife, is a consultant at Weightmans, where she heads the matrimonial department. In his spare time, Andrew enjoys endurance cycling (generally between cake stops), losing golf balls on sundry West Midlands golf courses and suffering with his beloved Burnley Football Club. In his youth, he played tennis for the county and once played football as goalkeeper for the Manchester University first team until the captain decided that he couldn't even catch a cold!
Training
Andrew Kay was educated at Solihull School and studied law at Manchester University (1979 - 1982,) where he was awarded the International Law prize, and Chester Law College (1982 - 1983) before joining Blakemores Solicitors in 1983. He subsequently joined Sydney Mitchell Solicitors where he became a partner, specialising in residential and commercial property law.
Following many years of working as an independent estate and lettings agent with offices originally in Birmingham Centre then relocating to Longbridge in 2008, Carol is now delighted to now become part of this energetic, like minded and forward thinking team of professionals, Arkade Property.
Carol was born in Northfield but her family moved to Longbridge for her father's employment and Carol literarily 'slept to the sound of the hammers' of the Austin Rover works. Carol can still remember the devastation that followed with the closure of the once famous car plant. She is hugely proud of her roots and is honoured to be instrumental in helping a Phoenix rise from the ashes, watching the regeneration of this wonderful town has been her motivation to want to encourage new buyers moving into the area and to help old friends to find new homes to buy, sell or rent. With our new offices firmly located in the Innovation Centre, Longbridge it enables us to cover a wide range of areas both new and old, with over 2,000 planned new homes it is an exciting time for Longbridge Town and surrounding areas.
An interesting fact that people may not know about Carol is that upon leaving school she became one of the first female to become a journeyman as a Bookbinder and Print Finishers in Birmingham and served a four year apprenticeship with John Goodman & Sons, Cardigan Street and trained at Matthew Boulton College of Print. So, if you have any old novels you would like leather bound you know who to ask!
Personal
Carol is a proud mother of two wonderful daughters, Lauren and Taryn who with their partners and has four beautiful grandchildren, Mason, Albie, Josiah and Nuala who make life very interesting and fill any spare time she has. She also is lucky to have a wonderful Mum who at 86 years of age still keeps Carol on her toes.
Charlotte joined Arkade Property in February 2021. She came on board as property management to look after Arkade's property portfolio located outside of Birmingham City Centre. Any repairs and maintenance from Solihull to Kings Norton to Rubery to Sutton Coldfield, Charlotte is the one to help to resolve any issues for all tenants and landlords.
Personal
Charlotte in her free time is a keen traveller, and thoroughly enjoys any kind of 'thrill -seeking/adrenaline' type activity. With her love of music you can also find her at many gigs and festivals.
Estela joined Arkade Property in February 2021 after considering a career change from the hospitality industry. Working alongside Nicola as a letting negotiator, Estela has excelled in learning the ropes in regards to the lettings process. They are a super team with vast knowledge and experience to assist with all aspects of lettings for all our landlords and tenants Personal Estela in her spare time really enjoys photography, traveling and she loves animals. Estela came to the UK for a summer job and that was 10 years ago!
There are few more focused or determined sales directors than James.
Having started as a lettings negotiator he has worked developing an encyclopedic knowledge of the city that has, time and again, proven priceless to Arkade clients.
Personal
James is a keen hockey player and much less talented golfer, with his aim still remaining to beat Andrew ‘the bandit' Kay just once at golf. He is also an active member of the Solihull School alumni and old boys association.
Justin is our truly wonderful business administrator, he first came to Arkade by rapidly absorbing every single element of our business we could throw at him. Now as our administrator chief in Sales and Lettings, the entire office goes to him for the right answers to the toughest questions.
Justin's is the first face who'll greet you as you enter our offices.

Justin enjoys playing football with his Sunday league team, and also thoroughly enjoys gardening.
Lettings Manager Nicola, with years' experience in the lettings industry, Nicola can provide vast knowledge in regards to the rental market. Whether you're a landlord or a tenant, Nicola can assist you with your queries. If you're a landlord, a successful let with responsible tenants is Nicola's aim and if you're a tenant then making a great start to your new life in your new home is her goal. She's visited at least fifty countries so far and, of course, can tell you the finest bars and restaurants in more than a hundred cool cities, never mind dear old, wonderful Birmingham.
Nicola also enjoys going to the gym and trying out the various classes her gym has to offer.

Sybilla joined Arkade Property in 2007 as lettings manager, she was delighted to be offered to come on board as a director in 2012 and thoroughly enjoys her current status as one of Arkade Property's directors.
She is our company's fixer and if there is an important issue or issue to be considered it will be brought to Sybilla's attention and then quickly resolved and handled with her trademark charm.
Personal
Away from the office Sybilla enjoys walking, running, going to the gym, open water swimming and is now PADI qualified with many places she would like to visit and enjoy the beautiful oceans and seas on our planet. As Sybilla loves the Jewellery Quarter, she enjoys visiting the sights and exploring the wonderful variety of bars and restaurants in the City Centre as well being able to escape to the country and wonder around the lovely Lickey Hills and surrounding areas.
Wesley is the property manager for Arkade Property. He is the person to resolve and assist any repairs and maintenance required for Landlords and Tenants to disappear as quickly as they appear.
A gentleman and outstanding professional, Wesley has become a cult figure among Birmingham's finest tradesman because of his dedication to getting the very best remedies for Arkade's clients.

Wesley enjoys relaxing days watching films, and going around Birmingham City Centre to try various restaurants and bars and sample their wonderful food and beverages.
