George Taylor

The GT brand also known as George Taylor Lifting and is a well-established British company which started out in Hamilton, Scotland in the 1800's and where it still has sites today. In 1974 the company opened a new base in the heart of the manufacturing industrial area in the West Midlands to be more centrally located in order to better serve the whole of the UK. In 2006 George Taylor expanded overseas to the UAE in order to provide a support link to the middle east and Africa. Although GT have multiple factories they always try and uphold the traditional British heritage from which its foundations were built. Harris Walton

In the late 1950's Harris Walton was founded by Mr Sam Harris. With its own forging plant and machining divisions, Harris Walton is one of the largest forgers of loose lifting tackle, specialising in lifting rings, eye bolts, eye & bow nuts. They are able to manufacture custom items to suit your specific lifting requirements too. Harris Walton is one of the last companies in this genre which still uses traditional manufacturing skills. In more recent years they have incorporated more advanced techniques to include robotics. With a highly experienced team of setters and CNC programmers no task is beyond Harris Walton. Founded in 1892 William Hackett's began by making chains and harrows which are still continuously made to this day. In 1989 the company expanded and a lifting division was opened in Northumberland.
