In 1974 the company opened a new base in the heart of the manufacturing industrial area in the West Midlands to be more centrally located in order to better serve the whole of the UK. In 2006 George Taylor expanded overseas to the UAE in order to provide a support link to the middle east and Africa. Although GT have multiple factories they always try and uphold the traditional British heritage from which its foundations were built. In the late 1950's Harris Walton was founded by Mr Sam Harris. With its own forging plant and machining divisions, Harris Walton is one of the largest forgers of loose lifting tackle, specialising in lifting rings, eye bolts, eye & bow nuts.
