Ray's Shrimps was formed in the early 1960's and at that time, used to supply the Silloth Shrimp Company, who in turn made potted shrimps for Young's. Ray's Shrimps also supplied peeled shrimps direct to Young's at Annan. The company has continued to trade since that time. Over the last few years, we have developed the company, with newly fitted premises, stainless steel work areas etc and newly installed state of the art peeling machinery. Along with the premises, we have our own fishing boat, MV Jolanda CL4. (image top left)... Ray's Shrimps Limited is a family run company, originally ran by the late Alan Ray and his wife Joan Ray. Now their daughter, Julie Allison runs the processing and sale side of the business, along with their son Joe and grandson Jason (Skipper and crew of the Jolanda).
