Briony Williamson

Briony joined Consortium as Head of Membership & Engagement in October 2020, leading on all areas of our membership and engagement work. Briony and her team ensure that Members needs are met through support, training, tools and events, and provide them with opportunities to engage, network and share knowledge & resources.

Emily Macaulay

Emily based in Taunton, Somerset has been working in the public and not for profit sector since 2004 having completed an undergraduate and postgraduate degree in Criminology. She is currently Head of Delivery and Operations for Connected by Data. Initially working in the criminal justice system within Devon and Cornwall she led on a range of community engagement work. Also in that time she was elected Chair of the Gay Police Association, a staff support group for members of the policing family that identified as LGB/T. It was this work that saw Emily awarded an MBE for services to equality and diversity. She is a Trustee for The Reading List Foundation, an Alumni Fellow for The Nottingham Trent University and an Independent Person for Somerset Council. In all roles, as well as her day job, Emily has developed a strong background in governance and scrutiny and is passionate about the social impact organisations can have.

Hannah Pittman

Hannah is one of the founding members of the committee for Pluto MCR, a social group for asexual and aromantic people in the Greater Manchester area and a Consortium Member organisation. She has also recently set up TRACE (Trans Respect Advocacy in Care Employment), a campaign to provide support to other trans people in the care sector, and encourage greater trans inclusion. Hannah is passionate about the importance of empowered, supportive and organised community activity in furthering LGBT+ rights.

Leni Candan

Leni is a senior charity communications leader. She is currently Head of Communications for an NGO working towards racial and social justice. Over the last 12 years, she has worked with a wide range of charities and political organisations in communications roles, including for LGBT+ causes. She is passionate about building up the capacity of the LGBT+ sector and championing healthy organisational cultures in the sector.

Leo joined Consortium as our Communications Officer in September 2021. His role will involve managing the charity's brand, PR and communications, to raise the profile of Consortium and communicate the need and impact of our work to key audiences.

Louie had been searching for an opportunity to use both their lived and professional experiences in a board-level role and felt Consortium was a great fit. Louie is the Managing Director of Member organisation Learnest, a social business set up to develop meaningful work opportunities that change the lives and prospects of people affected by transphobia, biphobia and homophobia in the workplace and wider society. Louie has worked for a number of LGBT+ third sector organisations and has been engaged with Consortium's work, particularly through our Trans Organisations Network.

Paul Roberts - CEO

Paul became Chief Executive for Consortium in April 2011 and has over 18 years' experience working in the LGBT+ voluntary sector. Paul leads on the strategic direction of the organisation working with the staff team, board and Members to ensure Consortium stays community focussed and LGBT+ issues are listened to by a range of stakeholders, including Government and the wider voluntary sector.

Pavlo is a public accountant with over 15 years of experience of auditing and advising large and listed businesses across multiple jurisdictions. He identifies as cis/gay man, originally from the south of Ukraine but calls the UK and London his home since December 2010.

Rico is Head of Trans Inclusion at UK Black Pride and has a wealth of experience in tackling transphobia and racism. He is also a diversity consultant, passionate about tackling misinformation and creating strong allies in the public and private sectors. Rico brings his financial industry background to support our continued development as our Treasurer. Rico has engaged extensively with Consortium's work over the last couple of years, helping to build the Equity Fund, engaging with our London team and speaking at our Trans events.

Yatin is an accomplished LGBTQ+ Mindset Coach with a grounded history in empowering individuals to unlock their full potential, Possessing a keen talent for nurturing self-awareness and catalysing positive transformation. Yatin focuses his passion on uplifting and motivating members of the queer community to navigate societal challenges and embrace their authentic selves. Beyond his role as a mindset coach, Yatin currently oversees a range of entrepreneurial endeavors. Prior to his entrepreneurial journey, Yatin distinguished himself as an Agile IT consultant, showcasing exceptional communication prowess while engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders and team members. His ability to adapt his communication style to suit various audiences underscores his skill in bridging connections and fostering collaboration. Outside of his professional roles, Yatin is deeply committed to giving back via his charity work. Whether volunteering during tsunami relief efforts or working with children from slum communities, his profound affinity for people is evident. This sentiment, intertwined with his spiritual beliefs, provides him a distinctive lens through which he views humanity as a unified entity. This interconnectivity is what compels Yatin on a daily basis, as he strives to ensure that all individuals can lead fear-free lives - be it liberation from external or internal apprehensions.
