A master at navigating teams through tough creative challenges, John uses original design process, intuitive strategy and distinctive creative direction. His work includes bringing to life consumer visions for Proctor & Gamble's sustainability initiatives, leading product experience for the M&M's brand, and redesigning The Royal British Legion's symbolic poppy to be 100% paper.

Jonathan Sturgess

Jonathan is a Design Director at Matter, leading the physical output of the studio from working prototypes and visual models to manufactured completion. He has led the prototyping teams at renowned design houses and brands including Heatherwick Studio and Dyson. He has 16 years experience across architectural, furniture, consumer electronics, automotive and traditional industrial/product design. He is a specialist in combining digital and physical making processes and pushing the boundaries of established production methods. Jonathan was the recipient of the Foster and Partners award in 2007 and has been part of teams and projects which have been awarded many other internationally recognised accolades.

Lottie King

Lottie is a Design Director at Matter, leading future innovation projects, across a spectrum of consumer categories, including FMCG, Health & Wellness & Food Futures. Lottie's expertise in strategic foresight and her affinity for understanding people, drives design innovation and elevates experiences. Her enthusiasm for femtech and womans' wellbeing is evident in her work, Sukha, aimed at engaging more women in positive HPV screening experiences. Trained in Industrial Design, Lottie seamlessly translates concepts into 3D branded experiences, drawing on diverse experiences in renowned design consultancies & in-house design teams, where she focused on FMCG & sports hardware.
