Prior to this, Azra began her career at Price Waterhouse as a Chartered Accountant before gaining a breadth of experience in commercial housing. Azra has a strong commercial background and a wealth of social and home care experience. Azra is passionate about ensuring St Anne's delivers the highest quality care, support, and housing for clients and tenants, whilst enabling them to have independence and choice. Azra is a strong advocate for St Anne's and the social care sector and hopes that alongside partner organisations we can provide a greater choice for all clients. Working to create more awareness of the sector challenges, Azra is a trustee of the Voluntary Organisation of Disability Groups (VODG) which supports sector-specific members.

He has served as Chair of the National Housing Federation Care and Support committee and has sat on the board of both housing organisations and charities including as an appointee to a small failing organisation. Ira has more than twenty years' experience working in a variety of charity, public sector and educational settings in both operational and HR leadership roles, most recently as Head of HR for AQA. Ira's early career began at St. Annes, where fresh out of university, he started as a HR Assistant at St. Mark's Avenue, Leeds which gave him an understanding of our services and a love for public services. From there he moved from St. Anne's to West Yorkshire Police, which was followed by senior HR roles at the University of Bradford. Ira has extensive experience as a school governor at Adel school, and as a youth leader across Leeds.

Lucy also sits on a variety of cross-sector forums, including safeguarding, domestic abuse, trauma, and mental health reference groups. It is this mix of career, voluntary, personal experiences and interests that Lucy believes can be of benefit to St Anne's both through the committee work and overall in supporting the organisation to deliver its aims and objectives. Lucy sits on the Quality and Safeguarding committee and is keen to see how this work relates to St Anne's values. Outside of work Lucy enjoys time with her family, most things food-wise, travel, running, yoga and is part of a longstanding book group that even does some reading.
