Abcon was founded in 2005 by Barry Smith, Paul Gilsenan and Sean Daly, and we grew from a staff of eight to one hundred and fifty in fifteen years. Initially, we were based in Belturbet, but later moved to Cootehill (still in County Cavan) to facilitate our growing business... We remain the only Abrasive Belt and Disc Manufacturer in Ireland and serve a growing global market with our manufactured products, which we often supply under private label... We are a very proud Irish owned company, our owners and production team actually have almost thirty years of experience in abrasive product manufacturing and design.
