Benin is a West African country led by President Yayi Boni who was elected in 2006 to replace President Kerekou who had previously ruled as a communist dictator but who then, as a Christian, brought the country to democracy. Benin is known to be the birth place of Voodoo and people from all around the world come to get satanic powers. Most of the people in Benin live in poverty. They have very poor medical facilities, and a very low wage... The average person in Benin will never see their 60 th birthday, illiteracy is widespread. The average income is £53 per year, and that is for the educated.
