DENTON CE SCHOOL - Key Persons
Born, raised and educated in Scotland, I moved to England in my early 20s and have lived and worked here since in a variety of cities including Newcastle, Oxford, Nottingham and London. My working life has been devoted to education, working in universities as an academic specialising in education and, most recently, as a Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Coventry University. Now semi-retired, I continue to work part-time for the University and I'm looking forward to applying the skills and experience I gained as a University manager to the service of the school community.
With our sons now grown up and left home, my husband and I made the great decision to move to Harlaxton last year. In our spare time, we enjoy gardening, walking and travelling.

Although originally from Lancashire, I have lived in Grantham since 1990 when I was appointed Rector of Gt Gonerby and a few years later, also Barrowby church.
As Rector, as well as taking assemblies and RE classes, I served as foundation governor at Gt. Gonerby, Barrowby and Gonerby Hill Foot church primary schools.
On retirement in 2019, my wife, Christine, and I retired to Harlaxton village. I enjoy tennis, playing guitar and violin, cycling, walking and skiing - and my four grandchildren!
Before becoming a vicar, I was a chartered civil engineer.
