HERBAL APOTHECARY

The Broadstairs Herbal Apothecary was founded by Patina Blakeney, a Herbalist and Iridologist who wanted to share her knowledge of herbs and all her favourite products she's used over the years. Patina thought there was a lack of 'real' herb shops in England and that herbs should be on show especially as England has the most wonderful and ancient herbal tradition which is in danger of being forgotten. She feels you should be able to "see" the herbs on display like in the old days, and not have them fashioned in pill form. And, they should be sold by someone who knows about them. Patina wanted to see people take more control of their own health and enjoy such 'colourful and alive' medication... It is the aim of the Broadstairs Herbal Apothecary to serve, educate and surprise the local community and tourists, to re-introduce them to forgotten and new drinks and potions.
