From graduating with a Biochemistry degree I started a career in management with a national food retailer starting out in store management and later marketing and managing packaging design projects. However, I loved the great outdoors, being in nature and tending plants, and after 17 years this led me to re-evaluate my career path... With over 15 years of experience in garden design I continue to provide garden consultants, designs and planting schemes for clients in and around Bedfordshire... Garden design encompasses many disciplines. Creating a design brief requires having the ability to listen to clients' dreams and aspirations and then reflecting these in the design. Surveying the site requires mathematical accuracy and attention to detail. Designing requires creativity and problem solving ability. Finally, planting design requires an eye for colour and form and horticultural knowledge.
