Miss Allison Davies

Miss Davies graduated from Roehampton Institute, University of Surrey in 2000 with a BA QTS Hons Degree with French. After graduating she worked at Chobham St. Lawrence Primary School, Surrey and then as an Assistant Chaplain at Southlands College, Roehampton University. She has been a teacher at Oare since 2007. During her time at Oare she has felt very privileged to watch children arrive at Oare and grow into confident young people who are aware of the world around them through the range of experiences offered to them. Miss Davies loves most sports and plays badminton for a local team. She is a huge football fan and supports Stoke City FC. She also enjoys going to the theatre and reading. Both staff and children at the school know that she is rather fond of Jelly Babies and Jaffa Cakes!

Miss Rachel Merritt

Mrs Amanda Kapoor

Mrs Kapoor has been associated with Oare Primary School for over 20 years. Both her children attended the school and she began as a volunteer reader whilst working at Oare Kids Pre-School, where she gained an NVQ in Early Years Education. Joining the school as a Teaching Assistant in 2011, she works across all classes in the school, specialising in Learning Support and Phonics. She has attended many courses to further her knowledge in the education of children which she so loves. Mrs Kapoor is a trained Sounds-Write phonic practitioner. Mr Kapoor also is the Supervisor of the school's Wrap Around Care provision and is an MDSA. In her spare time Mrs Kapoor enjoys dog walks, and singing in her local choir.

Mrs Gudrun Osborn

Mrs Osborn graduated from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire with a BEd Hons in Secondary Music having studied previously at Dartington College of Arts. Mrs Osborn has experience of teaching across the full age range, from EYFS to A level. She began her career in a large secondary school in Swindon as a Director of Music. Gaining experience at a secondary level in several SLT roles, including a very rewarding pastoral role as Head of House, she moved into primary education at Oare Primary School in 2014 as a move from St John's Marlborough. Mrs Osborn was appointed Head of School at Oare CE Primary School in 2017, with a promotion to Principal in 2019. In 2022, she was promoted to Executive Principal, supporting other school's within Excalibur Academies Trust. She is immensely proud of Oare Primary School and feels privileged to have the opportunity to lead her brilliant team in delivering the school's exciting WE CARE curriculum to such a fabulous group of children. When not in school, Mrs Osborn loves to spend time at home with her husband, three children and a menagerie of animals, including her dalmatian, Clemmie. She is a keen gardener and enjoys being outside as much as possible. She also continues to play the piano, flute and saxophone and lead choirs whenever she gets the opportunity.

Mrs Heidi Saunders

Mrs Saunders' two children were at Oare Primary School and loved it. About 18 years ago she offered to give recorder lessons and after a little while started teaching piano at the school and has been doing so ever since! With a love of working with children, Mrs Saunders began working in Montessori Nurseries when her children were young. When a reception class was introduced to Oare School, Mrs Saunders joined the school part-time. All aspects of working with young children has been a joy to her - creativity, caring and nurturing. Mrs Saunders is trained Sound-Write phonics practitioner and is extremely enthusiastic about this approach.

Mrs Julie Bolton

Following a career in nursing, Mrs Bolton retrained to become a teacher after having two children and working as a Teaching Assistant in their school. She graduated from the University of Gloucestershire with a Masters in Education and went on to teaching roles across all year groups in Primary Education. Mrs Bolton has a passion for fine art and has pursued her artwork throughout her life. In recent years she has become a semi-professional artist, fulfilling commissions, holding exhibitions and selling work around the world. Her love of art informs her teaching practise, with an aim to bring the joy of creativity and expression to the children she teaches. When Mrs Bolton is not teaching or painting she has a love for the outdoors, going on long walks with her corgi.

Miss Silver started as a TA in Skylarks Class in September 2022. Having been involved with the school for some years as a parent, a PTA committee member and a volunteer with reading and trips, it seemed the natural next step was to work here! With a degree in psychology and a lifelong interest in development, health and wellbeing, Miss Silver enjoys being part of the caring, nurturing environment at Oare and witnessing the children's daily achievements.

Mrs Sarah King

Job Titles:

Mrs King holds a degree in Travel Management and started her career working with a volunteer organisation. In 2021 she joined Oare Primary School as a Teaching Assistant with Skylark Class. Mrs King is a trained Sounds-Write phonics practitioner and supports one-to-one learning with children from YR to Y2. Mrs King has two children who share her love of baking and crafts. As a committee member of Oare Village Hall, Mrs King enjoys organising children's events in the village.
