Dr Alan Richard Woods

Richard studied at the University of Bristol Dental School and qualified in 2001. Having come from Neath originally, he came back to South Wales to develop his dentistry further. Having worked in General and Family Dental practices in South and West Wales since qualifying, he has invested a great deal of time on many courses across the UK to enhance his skills in Cosmetic and Complex Dentistry. Richard is committed to post graduate education and has travelled extensively to further his knowledge and skills in cosmetic dentistry and has undertaken a year-long Certificate Course in Dental Implantology with one of the UK's leading Implant Dentists. Richard is also an Educational Supervisor for Dental Foundation Training and has completed Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Education with the University of Bedfordshire. Richard enjoys his work with the Wales Deanery helping mentor young dentists and aid their career progression. Richard aims to provide the latest techniques and experiences here to Swansea without you having to travel further afield. Richard has a calm and caring manner and loves to build a rapport with his patients, especially those that follow his beloved Ospreys! When away from work Richard has a young family and feels he has to be just as quick as when he did Athletics just to catch up to them. Having always enjoyed sports Richard has now hung up his boots but still actively follows the Ospreys and the Swans, as well as almost any other sports. In his spare time, Richard enjoys travelling, sampling foods and cultures. Richard brings this home and is a keen amateur cook, you never know one day he may even enter Masterchef!!!

Dr Georgia Pearce

Originally from Porthcawl, Georgia studied in the University of Cardiff and graduated in 2020. Since graduating Georgia has moved to the Swansea area to pursue her career at Woods dental. Georgia strives to provide a comfortable and friendly environment in which patients have full confidence in being provided with optimum care with an ethical, holistic and minimally invasive approach. Georgia has a particular passion for cosmetic cases, continually attending courses to enhance her skillset in this area. Her work is based around the philosophy of minimally invasive aesthetic dentistry, recognising the importance of creating a beautiful, natural smile while preserving the health of the tooth. She has recently completed a post graduate certificate in aesthetic dentistry with the famous Tipton training academy - a private dental training institution based in London. In addition she has completed a composite masterclass course with the award winning Dr Monik Vasant. Georgia is an Invisalign Go provider offering a simplified approach to straightening teeth with clear aligner technology. She strives to offer high quality treatment and care for her patients. Georgia is also a facial aesthetic practitioner, regularly offering a clinic at the practice for anti- wrinkle and dermal filler treatments. Outside of work Georgia enjoys nothing more than spending time with her family and friends. She is a keen gym goer and loves spending her weekends keeping active with strolls around the beautiful Gower coastline, having recently moved here.

Dr Geraint Morgan

Geraint is originally from Merthyr Tydfil. He qualified from Cardiff Dental School in 1984 initially working in the Oral Surgery department before entering general practice in Cwmbran as an associate. He started his own practice back in Merthyr in 1986, becoming a vocational trainer, mentoring young dentists and developing this to a three dentist and hygienist practice. In 1997 he started working as a clinical assistant in Orthodontics at Prince Charles Hospital and completed the Welsh Postgraduate Orthodontic Training Scheme. Spending more of his Clinical time treating Orthodontic patients, in 2007 he was on the first intake of students on the Diploma in Primary Care Orthodontic Course run by the Royal College of Surgeons and the British Orthodontic Society, qualifying in 2010. He sold the practice in 2014, and now spends the majority of his working time treating adults and children with fixed, removable and Invisalign braces in several practices. He is married with two grown up children and two dogs. He enjoys gardening, diy, going to rock concerts, often to see groups he grew up listening to ( the numbers of which are decreasing rapidly ! ). On an active note it's yoga, walking and the occasional ski trip (trying to keep up with the kids and failing), that have taken over from running and karate.

Dr Jonathon Pugh

Having being brought up in Newport, Jonny didn't travel far to study dentistry at Cardiff University where he graduated in 2017. Since graduating he has worked in the Swansea area and joined our practice in early 2022. Jonny is enthusiastic about all aspects of dentistry with a special interest in cosmetic and restorative cases. Jonny is continuing to expand his knowledge and skill set so he can continue to offer the very best treatment for his patients. In 2023 he completed a post graduate certificate in advanced restorative dentistry with the highly renowned Tipton Training Academy. In 2021 he qualified to provide IV sedation with SAAD to provide for those who are more anxious to receive dental treatment in a calm and relaxed environment. Outside of work Jonny spends most of his time exploring the country with his extremely active working cocker spaniel. In his spare time he likes to unwind in front of the telly watching rugby and formula 1. Fun Fact: In his teens Jonny achieved Grade 8 in both guitar and piano.

Mr Craig Mallorie

Mr Mallorie has travelled the World to study the fine art of quality dental surgery on three continents. After completing undergraduate studies here in beautiful Wales (during which time he was awarded the Oral Surgery prize) he then completed further study at the Royal College of Surgeons, London. Following on from that Mr Mallorie spent some years working as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Senior House Officer in Wales involving many hours of oral surgery training and experience as well as being involved in teaching dental students how to remove complex wisdom teeth. From there Mr Mallorie moved to Australia where he worked in the beautiful city of Melbourne in private practice. During his time there he dipped across the pond to California, USA where he completed a one-year Master Implant Clinician Program through the University of California Los Angeles and the Global Institute for Dental Education. Mr Mallorie finished the course as top student amongst the international intake of 150 Master Clinician's. Following on from this, and thirsty for more study, he went on to complete a Graduate Diploma in Dental Implants from Sydney University with distinction whilst also maintaining busy private practice in Melbourne. Mr Mallorie has presented/lectured in the field of oral surgery and dental implants in China, The Netherlands, USA, Australia and here in the UK. Whilst in Australia he was appointed Director of the Melbourne gIDE Master Implant Clinician Study Club from 2011-2014. He has also found time over the years to publish research papers in well-respected academic journals such as the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and the Angle Orthodontist. Upon his return to the UK Mr Mallorie completed postgraduate training in Dental Sedation at the prestigious King's College London. Following completion of this degree Mr Mallorie worked on Harley Street in London which is arguably the most World-renowned medical district. The practice he worked at was the longest-established private dental surgery in the UK and working within its walls enabled him to continue to provide high quality care for his patients. During his time in London Mr Mallorie spent one day every week working as a Clinical Teacher in Oral Surgery at the World Class training facility King's College Hospital Oral Surgery Department. Here he spent his time teaching budding dental surgeons oral surgery and dental sedation skills. Also during his time in London Mr Mallorie completed his Masters in Oral Surgery. Mr Mallorie has been placing dental implants for well over 14 years with current success rates in excess of 98-percent so you can rest assured you are in great hands. Safe to say Mr Mallorie is well versed and experienced in dealing with all manner of dental implant cases from a single missing tooth replacement to a total smile rehabilitation with techniques such as "All-on-4" and "Teeth-in-a-day". In addition, he is also highly skilled at removing wisdom teeth, no matter how impacted they are, using techniques he has learned over the years to help ensure the treatment is as comfortable for his patients as possible. Mr Mallorie now works part-time as a Specialty Dental Surgeon in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Cardiff's University Dental Hospital performing all manner of oral surgery procedures under both local and general anaesthetic as well as teaching junior dental surgeons. The rest of his time is spent providing oral surgery procedures, dental implants and sedation treatments for private dental practices in South Wales. Patient safety is something Mr Mallorie is very passionate about so as well as having undergone Advanced Life Support training, Mr Mallorie is a certified Basic Life Support trainer/assesser. This means that he regularly takes time out to teach and assess local healthcare workers these life saving skills in case they should need them in an emergency situation. Mr Mallorie is an active member of the British Association of Oral Surgeons, the European Association of Dental Implantologists and the Global Institute for Dental Education. Whilst in London he was appointed as the London regional representative for the British Association of Oral Surgeons (BAOS). Since being back in South Wales he has been appointed the regional representative for the BAOS for Wales. He is also an External Examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons, London which involves writing exam questions and adjudicating for national dental surgery exams. Away from the surgery Mr Mallorie also likes a challenge and over the years he has completed events such as the Tough Mudder in Australia, Tough Guy in England, The Mighty Deer Stalker in Scotland, and The World Bog Snorkelling Championships here in Wales. He loves nothing more than being out hiking in the beautiful Breacon Beacons.
