Our mission is to care for and make accessible the finds of Scottish Crannog dwellers, offering benefit, enjoyment, education, and inspiration for all. We hold in our care over 5000 objects, the belongings of the original Crannog dwellers. They tell stories of the lives of these people, of their skills, interests, and creativity. These are our main puzzle pieces when trying to understand our prehistoric ancestors. Every year we learn more about these objects, working with volunteers, academics, artists and visitors, which means the stories we tell are constantly changing as we learn.
