Alice Walder

Alice is known for her personal approach and is always attentive to client questions and needs. With extensive experience in commercial property and employment law, she manages a diverse caseload of clients and supports businesses and individuals across a variety of projects. After gaining her 1st Class LLB at the University of Gloucestershire in 2014, she went on to study the Legal Practice Course at the University of Hertfordshire. Alice joined Kew Law as a paralegal in 2015. She completed her training with us and progressed to became a partner in 2020.

James Kew - CEO

James has been part of Kew Law's story almost from the very beginning and has played an integral role in the firm's development since 2010. Having joined Kew Law directly from Law School as a graduate, he now oversees the firm's development, operations, and strategy. As Head of Property, he has helped to build Kew Law's reputation as one of the foremost and highly regarded property solicitors in Essex and Suffolk. Located in Britain's First City and the former capital of Roman Britain, our expert solicitors help residents and businesses in Colchester with business law, conveyancing, family law, wills, probate, elderly care and more. Kew Law Colchester is also the head office for Kew Law LLP solicitors, handling all administrative work and requests from our other branches across Essex.

Stephen Kew

Stephen Kew was Managing and Senior partner for one of the largest legal firms in Essex. In 2009, Stephen co-founded Kew Law LLP with his partner Jacqueline Farrow, an experienced residential conveyancing solicitor. James Kew joined the practice the following year. The firm opened from their first office in Colchester but, thanks to an established industry network and a fast developing reputation for excellence, things quickly took off. As of September 2023, Kew Law operate in 13 offices across Essex in the towns and cities of Halstead, Hadleigh, Chelmsford, Burnham-on-Crouch, Witham, South Woodham Ferrers, Clacton, Wickford, Maldon, Colchester, Braintree, and Rayleigh. We also operate from an office in Sudbury, Suffolk. Our Colchester office is the original and head office for the firm. We pride ourselves on employing a highly qualified staff of legal professionals. We place a huge emphasis on training and to this end and we are proud to say many of trainees stay on with Kew Law through qualification and beyond.
