Alun joined Blyth & Blyth in February 2024 and brings a wealth of experience across a wide variety of sectors. He has over 25 years' experience in engineering consultancy and takes a proactive and hands-on approach to project delivery.
He brings teams together to ensure a collective and collaborative approach is given to addressing a project's early engineering challenges.
Alun encourages and supports school pupils to gain work experience within the industry and is a passionate mentor to students and young professionals.
Brett joined Blyth & Blyth as an Associate in March 2017 from a Cape Town based consultancy and was promoted to Director in January 2020.
Key responsibilities are managing structural projects, delivery of design information and coordination with Clients, Contractor and design teams. Brett is also actively involved in engaging with clients in a merketing role.
Previous experience includes Airports, Medical, Retail, Residential and Industrial.
Brett is an Approved SER Certifier of Structural Design (Scotland).
Chris Denton is a Director within the Glasgow office of Blyth & Blyth. Graduating from Heriot Watt University in 1996, Chris subsequently worked for a contractor and an established Glasgow firm of consulting engineers, where he achieved membership of the Institution of Structural Engineers in 2003. After a significant period at the Glasgow office of a large multi-national consultancy, he joined Blyth & Blyth in February 2018 and became a Director in August 2022.
Chris has gained a vast range of experience in the structural design of a wide variety of building and infrastructure projects, including commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, and residential projects. His role is act as day-to-day contact for clients, and to coordinate engineering input within Blyth & Blyth, thereby ensuring a high level of service at all times.
Chris is an Approved SER Certifier of Structural Design (Scotland).

Glen joined Blyth & Blyth in December 2012. Graduating from Heriot-Watt University with a Masters degree in Civil Engineering in 2011. Glen has since achieved Chartered status with the Institution of Civil Engineers.
Glen's key responsibilities in the business involve the design and management of projects within a wide range of sectors including Residential, Industrial and Commercial.

Ian is familiar with the design and construction of a diverse range of structural forms and materials for a variety of sectors, client and contract types. Ian also has extensive experience in the design and project management of large projects both in the UK, Asia and the Middle East.
Jim joined Blyth & Blyth April 2015
Responsible for design and project management on building services electrical engineering projects.
Jim has a high level of technical expertise in both refurbishment work and new projects in Commercial, Residential, Industrial, Nuclear & Health Care Sectors.
Jim has successfully delivered M&E projects with HV/LV electrical system design's for BREEAM excellent & low energy rated buildings.
From his time working in contracting, Jim helps deliver cost effective design solutions that are both technically compliant and practical.

Jim joined the company in 2013 to join the senior management team, bringing his extensive knowledge and experience in the design of stadia for football, rugby and athletics.
He has 34 years post-graduation experience.
He has also been engaged to provide expert engineering opinion in connection with the resolution of ground engineering, civil and structural engineering disputes.

Kevin joined Blyth & Blyth in 2019 from a London based consultancy

Martin joined Blyth & Blyth as an Associate Director in 2013 before being promoted to Director in 2015.
As a hands-on working Director, he is still actively involved in the day-to-day running of projects as well as jointly overseeing the running of the Glasgow office, business development and leading the integration of BIM into the daily activities of the Glasgow office.
Over the past 20 years Martin has gained experience across most sectors of the industry including commercial, leisure, education, healthcare and residential.

Martin joined Blyth & Blyth in April 2019 to lead the business development and marketing functions alongside quality assurance.
He has been involved within the construction industry for some 30+ years, working within the family construction business, a large private Architectural practice and nationwide contractor before leading the Mace Project Management consultancy business within Scotland.

Mike joined Blyth & Blyth in January 2009.
Responsibilities include supervision of the Civil/Structural design team, project delivery, project management and SER Certification.
Pamela joined Blyth & Blyth in 2001 following 4 years' experience with a small consultancy practice, after graduating from Edinburgh's Napier University in 1998. Pam became an Associate in 2018 and in January 2023 was promoted to Director.
As an Associate, Pam managed live projects at various design and construction stages, and also performed support duties for the M&E Director within the Edinburgh office with respect to staff resourcing, fee bids and submission and general management tasks for the M&E Team.
Pam has led numerous successful projects, across a number of sectors, and mostly in the industrial sector, and has particular interest in the sustainability approach to building services design.

Peter joined Blyth & Blyth in May 2007 after graduating Dundee University with a 2/1 master's degree in civil, structural engineering design and management.
Peter's key responsibilities in the company are in the design and management of projects within industrial related projects.
Although previously working in various sectors including Commercial, Residential and Hotels, Peter now works predominately on whisky industry related works which include projects within distillation, maturation and bottling facilities.
Stephen joined the company in June 2018
He is responsible for the M&E team which includes everything from business development, project inception, active participation with projects through to final completion and handover.
His main sector focus is hotel & leisure

Stephen joined Blyth & Blyth in February of 2020 as an Associate and is currently responsible for the management and supervision of a team of engineers and technicians within the Civil and Structural team in our Glasgow office.
Stephen is a Chartered Civil Engineer with over 30 years' experience in the construction industry. He has a proven track record delivering Civil & Structural Engineering services to a broad spectrum of private and public sector clients across all sectors including; education, health, commercial, housing, leisure, industrial, security, prison service, defence, road and rail.
Stephen remains heavily involved in projects from inception, feasibility, tender, detailed design through to the construction stage. He strives to deliver innovative, integrated, cost effective design solutions which meet the client's expectations, budget and programme.
Stephen is an Approved SER Certifier of Structural Design (Scotland).
Stewart joined Blyth & Blyth following graduation from Aberdeen University in 1989.
He is responsible for Certification of Building Structures in the Edinburgh Office.
He has extensive experience in the design and construction of both new build and refurbishment projects across most construction sectors.
