Alan Howard

Job Titles:
  • Registered Occupational Psychologist
Alan is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (BPS), and member of the BPS's Division of Occupational Psychology. He is a Chartered Psychologist and a Registered Occupational Psychologist with the UK's Health Care Professions Council (HCPC). He has 30 years' experience as an occupational psychologist which includes managing and delivering large consultancy projects in 6 continents. He is a former Vice President of Assessment & Development at Dubai International Airport and Director of Assessment & Development Centres at consultancy company IHS Dubai. Alan has been an associate of the Keil Centre for over a decade. He has a particular interest in helping organisations find, develop, and retain good leaders. He has led significant projects in areas such as leadership assessment and development, 360 degree feedback systems, competency frameworks, talent management strategies, coaching and team facilitation. He has extensive experience of both the private and public sectors. Alan has co-authored 3 situational judgement tests (published worldwide by SHL for over 20 years), which have been completed by participants from over 100 countries. He is currently leading a team of psychologists in the development of Mosaic, a task-based personality assessment. Alan is a regular speaker at UK Occupational and Organisational Psychology conferences, and has also presented at international conferences in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Trinidad. Alan has authored several academic journal papers and a book chapter in Advances in Global Leadership volume 7.

Alan Teader

Alan provides project support to Plato Chan, as well as the wider Human Factors Team. In addition to supporting Human Factors projects, Alan assists with the Keil Centre's internal IT systems and takes an active role in developing internal data projects.

Amber Cadwallader

Job Titles:

Amber is a Project Coordinator based in Mandurah, Western Australia (Mandjoogoordap Country) and provides a full range of project and administrative support for our Australian Human Factors consultants Nicole Gray and Meghann Croome. Supporting the business, Amber also assists with financial responsibilities and invoicing for Australian clients. The Keil Centre acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land on which Amber lives and works, the Mandjoogoordap people. We pay our respects to their Elders, past, present and emerging, and recognise that Aboriginal lands were never ceded.

Beth Farquharson

Job Titles:

Beth provides project support to Chiara Amati and other consultants within the Business Psychology and Wellbeing team. Beth predominately manages The Keil Centre's coaching offering and is also responsible for new email enquiries and supporting Pamela MacLean with quality and auditing.

Bill Thislie

Job Titles:
  • Financial Controller
Bill has over 40 years experience as a Management Accountant and is responsible for the day-to-day operation of financial matters for the business. This includes the production of management accounts, banking, credit control, sales and purchase ledgers and payroll.

Dr Catherine Mckinven

Job Titles:
  • Chartered Counselling Psychologist
Catherine provides psychological assessments and treatment for a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety and trauma. She draws on a range of evidence-based therapies in her clinical work including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and is an Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) accredited practitioner and supervisor. She has a specialist interest in trauma and is trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Prolonged Exposure (PE). Catherine previously worked for several years in the aviation industry and holds an MSc in Occupational Psychology. She later went on to undertake her D.Psych in Counselling Psychology in 2009 and has worked in clinical settings since then. She has had a wide variety of experience working in Adult Mental Health settings in the NHS, including clinical health, pain management and a specialist trauma service. She has also had extensive experience working in Employee Assistance (EAP) within the private sector, providing therapy, consultancy and clinical assessments. Catherine is a chartered member of the British Psychological Society and registered with HCPC.

Dr Eimear Coyle

Job Titles:
  • Chartered Clinical Psychologist
Eimear graduated with an M.A Hons in Psychology from the University of St. Andrews in 2006. She completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Edinburgh during which time she specialised in adult mental health. She has completed and published doctoral research examining the emotional impact of trauma. Eimear has previously worked in an NHS adult mental health service, a specialist eating disorders service, an occupational health setting and a clinical health specialist pain management service. Eimear provides psychological assessment and evidence-based treatment for adults. She is trained in various therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). She is also experienced in applying Mindfulness based Cognitive Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy as well as compassion focused approaches. She has a particular interest in working with people living with or adjusting to physical health problems.

Dr Emily Pathe

Emily is a Chartered and Registered Counselling Psychologist with over ten years' experience in the field of mental health. She received her Master's degree in Applied Psychology in 2012 and her Doctorate in Counselling Psychology in 2015. Emily has practiced therapeutically with individuals and groups across a variety of NHS and third sector settings, including services for young people, adult mental health, and specialist trauma services. She is experienced in the support and supervision of various staff groups. Emily is interested in working with both young people and adults. When working with an individual, her aim is to build on the person's strengths while supporting them to cope with any challenges they may be facing. Emily can also offer consultations to parents and carers of young people. Emily works together with her clients to explore their unique issues and tailors her intervention to the needs of each person. To do this, she draws on various therapeutic approaches, such as Compassion-Focused Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, Play Therapy and Person-Centred Therapy. Emily also contributes to teaching at Glasgow Caledonian University as occasional lecturer, covering topics such as trauma, social exclusion, and Compassion-Focused Therapy. Emily is Chair of the British Psychological Society's Division of Counselling Psychology Scotland.

Dr Lesley Walker

Lesley is a Chartered Counselling Psychologist with a BPS Accredited Doctorate in Psychology and over 12 years' clinical experience. She provides psychological assessment and treatment for adults who present with a range of psychological difficulties. Lesley uses evidence-based therapies including EMDR and EMDR2 (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Psychodynamic Therapy, CBT Performance Coaching and EMDR informed coaching. She offers bespoke therapy and can integrate different therapy models to meet your individual needs. Lesley graduated with a BPS Accredited Master's Degree in Clinical Health Psychology. She is Chartered by the British Psychology Society (BPS) and registered with HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council). Lesley has worked as a Highly Specialist Counselling Psychologist in a wide range of clinical settings including NHS Adult Mental Health Community Mental Health Teams, Older Adults Dementia Services, NHS inpatient wards, brain injury services, chronic pain management services and Clinical Lead for an NHS Military Veterans Service, as well as in the private and charity sectors.

Dr Rachel Megahy

Rachel gained both her Bachelor of Science degree (BSc Hons) in Psychology and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsych) from The University of Edinburgh. Rachel has been working as a Chartered Clinical Psychologist in the NHS since 2006. Rachel works with a wide range of issues including: anxiety, depression, stress, psychological issues caused by physical health problems (e.g. diabetes, chronic pain), phobias, obsessive-compulsive issues (OCD), personality issues, low self-esteem, managing life transitions (such as retirement or having a baby) and many more. She specialises in working with adults suffering from eating disorders (including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and binge eating disorder and obesity) and those who have experienced psychological trauma, including childhood sexual abuse and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). She is trained in a number of therapeutic approaches including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT), compassion focussed therapy (CFT), eye movement reprocessing and desensitisation (EMDR), and schema therapy. Rachel is compassionate and always works with clients to build a shared understanding of their difficulties and build an individual treatment plan based on their needs. It is important to her that she can provide a safe, trusting and welcoming environment and she will always do her best to put clients at ease.

Dr Richard Browne

Richard is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with an MSc in Psychological Therapy in Primary Case and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. He is experienced in assessing and treating a range of psychological difficulties. He mainly works with adults and draws on a number of therapeutic models, including Cognitive Analytic Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. In addition, Richard provides evidence-based trauma focused interventions such as Prolonged Exposure and he has experience of neuropsychological assessment. He is also registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.

James Hayton

Qualifications: CEng, BSc (Psych), BEng, MIET, RAF (Retd.) James is a Chartered Engineer and a principal consultant at the Keil Centre. He started his career in Military Aviation and after 18 years in the British Armed Services moved into consulting. He has worked for the last 9 years in the aviation sector, delivering Human Factors, Error Management, Risk Management, and Investigative Techniques training and consultative support, but his primary area of interest has been Safety Cultures.

Jane Jones

Jane is a Project Coordinator based in Sunshine Coast, Queensland Australia (Gubbi Gubbi Country). Jane provides a wide range of project support for our Australian Human Factors consultants Nicole Gray and Meghann Croome. She also assists with the design and production of marketing materials and contributes to the development and coordination of The Keil Centre's Newsletter. Jessie Hildebrand

Supporting the business, Jessie also assists our Business Administration Manager, Sandra Jakimoviciute, with HR responsibilities and employee onboarding and inductions.

Lize van Niekerk

Lize is a Chartered Counselling Psychologist with over 20 years' experience in the field. She provides psychological assessments and treatment for adults who present with a range of psychological difficulties, such as depression and anxiety. Lize uses evidence-based therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). She also draws on other psychological approaches such as Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) principles. Lize graduated with an M.Soc.Sc in Counselling Psychology from the University of the Free State, South Africa, in 1998. She is a member of the British Psychological Society and is also registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. Lize has previously worked with the South African Police Service, an NHS Occupational Health Service and an NHS Specialist Trauma Service. This has led to Lize developing areas of specialist interest in psychological trauma treatment and supporting clients with work-related stress management.

Ronny Lardner

Ronny is a registered psychologist and a founder of The Keil Centre Ltd. He is currently based in Perth, Western Australia (Whadjuk Nyoongar Country). He has over thirty years' experience as a human and organisational factors specialist in hazardous industries; mainly in the oil, gas and chemical process sectors worldwide. Ronny specialises in the human and organisational factors which influence safety and reliability in hazardous industries. This includes safety culture & leadership development, preventing and reducing errors & violations, and incident investigation. He is an Associate Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers and has twice been awarded Practitioner of the Year status by the British Psychological Society for applying psychology to improve safety.
