Chris started his career in financial services in 1990 with the Medical Sickness Society, which later became part of the Wesleyan group. He left the company in 1998 to move his young family back to Leicester and closer to his hometown and family. After joining Hornbuckle Mitchell, he became a director through a management buyout. He held the position of pensioner trustee as well as holding Advanced Financial planning status as an Independent Financial Adviser. In 2008 Chris moved on intending to sell his share of the company - which he did in 2013 - and pursue his dream of becoming a teacher. He qualified in June 2010, teaching Maths in some of the more challenging schools around Leicester. During this time, he met up with his old school friend Paul Murray, who was running the Cave & Sons Market Harborough office, which offered both investment management and stockbroking services. Together, they agreed to join forces, and Chris began working with him in September 2013 on a part-time basis. Chris spent more and more time on the stockbroking side and resigned from teaching to work full time with Paul and Redmayne Bentley from November 2015. Chris has Associate status with the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments (CISI).
