David founded Dream Escape with Holly in 2005. The vision was to create once in a lifetime trips and events for a select group of well travelled clients. David's previous marketing career included roles at ITV, Saatchi & Saatchi and Carat where he worked across a wide range of clients. Prior to starting Dream Escape he was a Board Director at MediaCom London & Scotland responsible for Audi UK & The Scottish Executive. David is a Travel + Leisure "A" List Travel Agent and a Conde Nast Top Travel Specialist for Scotland. Gordon joined Dream Escape in February 2017, bringing over 13 years finance experience in the travel sector. Gordon trained and qualified with Deloitte in Edinburgh in 1990. His previous employment includes acting as Finance Director for a European Tour Operator. Holly started her career at Carlson Marketing in Singapore after completing her Business & Psychology MA in Edinburgh. After a few years in London working at various agencies including TBWA GGT she moved to Edinburgh to look after the Visit Scotland account at the agency 1576. Holly is passionate about travel and has a wealth of knowledge having travelled extensively including overlanding from India and Nepal back to England. Having previously worked in the hospitality industry for over 7 years, Karen decided to use her organisation skills, attention to detail and love of all things fabulous, and move into the luxury travel industry. Michael joined Dream Escape in 2012 as a Creative Planner. A true academic, studying History at Cambridge University followed by a PhD from Edinburgh, Michael also brings a wealth of travel experience with him, 23 years in fact. Having worked for Abercrombie and Kent for over 10 years, Michael has worked as a tour guide taking clients around the UK - this was an ideal outlet for his interest and academic background in the history and culture of the British Isles. Nicki lives in the beautiful Berkshire countryside in the South of England and has nearly 20 years of travel experience, working in sales for luxury hotels before moving over to travel planning. A lover of the great outdoors, she keeps an eye out for new locations and experiences off the beaten track to share with Dream Escape clients. Nicki has two young children so is always keen to discover experiences that will engage and entertain younger audiences!
Rebecca joined Dream Escape in 2018 with extensive experience in the events industry and holds a degree in International Event Management from Edinburgh Napier University. Rebecca has travelled extensively throughout Europe and North America and is keen to explore what the rest of the world has to offer. Previous to working with Dream Escape she worked with the Horse racing world elite at Scotland's only 5 Star racecourse, which means working alongside Rebecca is always a safe bet! Rosie's life has been a fabulous adventure which continues in her role as Client Relationship Manager at Dream Escape, to which she brings over 17 years of invaluable knowledge and travel industry experience. Her passion for ‘all things' Scotland is unsurmountable and her little black book of contacts is priceless! She has made her mark globally, having lived in the Middle East, Far East, USA and Africa where she practised nursing, raised her 3 children and undertook responsibility within the PTA, fundraising duties and the role of Brown Owl of a Brownie Pack, whilst coping with typhoons, snakes, power outages, coups and monsoons! Rosie became a qualified Blue Badge Guide in 2006 and has been recognised as ‘one of the world's greatest tour guides' by Travel and Leisure magazine. Sue brings over 25 years of experience in sales, marketing & event management in the UK & Ireland travel industry. Sue started her career working for an incoming tour operator then a leading european luxury tour operator, both based in London before enjoying 15 years at Tourism Ireland (the National Tourist Board) where she was responsbile for various marketing and communications campaigns for the consumer, travel trade, golf & business tourism sectors. Having moved to the British Virgin Islands in 2011 with her family, she is no stranger to high end travel experiences, the great outdoors and an odd hurricane or two!
Born in London, Susie's passion comes from a deep interest in the culture and history of British and Irish heritage. With 10 years travel experience, she often finds herself visiting the city and surrounding areas in the search for hidden gems. Her love for literature, castles and country homes are her favourite talking point.
