CLARK BOYLE - Key Persons
Chris qualified as a solicitor in 2021, having completed his traineeship at one of Scotland's top commercial law firms. Chris then worked in general commercial property at that firm and gained experience in a wide range of commercial, residential and land property transactions. Chris currently works in the Commercial Property team at Clark Boyle with Derek Bell and Lauren Heaney. He undertakes a variety of commercial property work, including sales and purchases, investment asset management work for owners, financing and commercial leasing. Outside of work, Chris enjoys running, hotpod yoga and collecting rare books.
Derek has 32 years of practical experience under his belt and has been with Clark Boyle for 25 of them. He deals with multiple aspects of commercial and residential conveyancing and works closely with his well-established team to provide a service which is highly valued by our clients. When he's not working, Derek enjoys a range of outdoor activities such as golf, skiing and hillwalking.
Graham has been with Clark Boyle for 30 years and has been a leading light in the residential conveyancing scene for over 32 years. He prides himself in his extensive knowledge of the Scottish residential markets and property law and is involved in business development within Clark Boyle. He also undertakes private client work including Wills and Powers of Attorney. Outside work he enjoys antiques, spending time with his family and pursuing voluntary work with community groups across the city.
Karen qualified in 2010 and joined Clark Boyle in 2022, to head up our Private Client Department. Karen deals with Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, estate and succession planning and administration of estates. Karen has extensive experience in dealing with complex estates. Outwith work, Karen enjoys walking, cooking, and spending time with family.
Lauren has been a member of the Clark Boyle team since 2012, originally training with us and ultimately becoming a Director in 2020. She is dedicated to helping clients throughout Scotland in connection with commercial property and business matters. Lauren also has extensive experience in complex residential property transactions. Within the management team, Lauren undertakes an anti-money laundering and financial compliance role. Lauren is a member of the Law Society of Scotland and is a Notary Public. Before commencing her career with us she obtained a Batchelor of Laws with Honours; Diploma in Professional Legal Practice and a post graduate Master of Laws from the University of Strathclyde. Beyond work, Lauren enjoys gardening, cooking and travelling.
Laurence was one of the founders of Clark Boyle in 1986 and has over 35 years' experience helping clients throughout Scotland. He provides invaluable advice and experience on a wide variety of legal matters including all types of private client services, business matters and property transactions. Laurence is a trusted confidante and advisor of many of our well-established clients and often advises several generations of the same family on their personal and commercial legal affairs. Away from the office Laurence enjoys travel, watching competitive sport, and spending time with his family.
