Adam Kusnierek

Job Titles:
  • Director
Adam joined Hawkins Priday in June 2020 as a client manager. He had been working as a client manager within Hereford over the previous three years, working with a wide range of local, owner-managed businesses. Before that time he worked in the Assurance sector for a Big Four firm based in London, where he obtained his Chartered Accountant qualification. Adam obtained his BSc (Hons) Degree in Accounting and Finance from Lancaster University in 2014. Adam's role involves becoming an integral driver in the future planning and development of his clients' businesses and is the area in which he finds the greatest reward. He enjoys adding value wherever possible and providing a service that goes far beyond standard compliance. Adam has a young family who all enjoy weekend walks into high town. You may also find Adam 'trying' to swing a golf club on the odd occasion.

Angela Brace

Job Titles:
  • Office Administrator
Angie joined Hawkins Priday in April 2021 after spending 20 years as part of the management team at a private Country Estate in Herefordshire. With a wealth of administrative experience Angie assists the team at Hawkins Priday to run efficiently offering all its clients a positive customer experience. When not at work Angie enjoys long walks with her dogs, cycling, reading and traveling in her camper van.

Hayley Angell MAAT

Job Titles:
  • Tax Return Manager
Hayley joined Hawkins Priday in December 2014 as a receptionist and administrator whilst continuing her studies to obtain Level 4 AAT qualification, which she successfully passed in 2016. Since coming back from maternity leave in October 2017, Hayley has taken on a new role within the Practice, gaining extensive experience in preparing partnership and sole trader accounts, and Tax Returns. She has especially developed her skills in the completion of Tax Returns, which has become her niche within the Practice. However, should she have any spare working time, she is also able to turn her hand to payroll and bookkeeping duties when needed. When she is not at work Hayley spends her time running around after her children, travelling and catching up with friends when the opportunity arises.

Isabelle Lowe

Job Titles:
  • Senior Accountant
Isabelle joined Hawkins Priday in 2019, after starting her career in the finance department of a firm of solicitors. Isabelle has recently completed her ACCA exams, achieving the highest mark globally in her advanced tax paper. Isabelle assists in the preparation of accounts and tax returns for our sole trader and Limited Company clients along with the preparation of Self-Assessment Tax Returns. Isabelle is also a QuickBooks Pro-Advisor. Isabelle is a big foodie and loves to bake for family and friends and go out for food. She also enjoys walking over the Malvern Hills, chilling with her cats and redecorating her house.

Jemima Speck MAAT

Job Titles:
  • Client Manager
Jemima joined Hawkins Priday in October 2018 coming from a finance role within a charity. She passed her AAT Level 4 in July 2015 with first time passes in all her exams and was awarded Outstanding HE Learner of the Year Award in her course. She joined Hawkins Priday with the desire to take her studies to the next level, which she is now realising as she reaches the end of her ACCA studies at the University of South Wales. Jemima manages a portfolio of clients including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. Jemima enjoys learning and developing her skillset in all sectors within Hawkins Priday. When she's not at work, Jemima enjoys a tight schedule of ferrying her children to their various after school activities, but loves most of all to cook for her family. When she can find the time, she likes to squeeze a little run (or jog) in too.

Kelvin Alexander - Managing Director

  • Managing Director
Initially employed as a Manager of Hawkins Priday in November 1998, Kelvin became a Partner of the firm in January 2003 and subsequently became Managing Director in 2010. In addition to obtaining a Practicing Certificate from ACCA at the first attempt, he is also a Registered Auditor and the firm's Senior Statutory Auditor. Kelvin is very much a local man having lived in Herefordshire all his life and is keen to support local owner-managed businesses with their specific needs and future plans. He is pleased to be supported by a professional and enthusiastic team who share his desire to help our clients meet and solve each of their own unique set of challenges and demands. As his football days are well and truly behind him, when not in the office, you will probably find Kelvin either on a golf course trying to reduce his handicap; or on a ski-slope with a snowboard strapped to his feet trying to beat his fastest time; or simply enjoying a pint in his local.

Lisa Franzen

Job Titles:
  • Head of Bookkeeping
Lisa joined the team in November 2019 after spending 10 years in the Hospitality Industry. She started her further education with a BTEC in Business and moved on to complete various hospitality management courses. During her work in hospitality, she became more involved and interested in accounts and management. Once coming on board at Hawkins Priday, Lisa quickly progressed to passing her Level 3 AAT exams in June 2021 and is now part way through the advanced stages of completing ACCA accreditation. Lisa has very much put her energies into the running of the bookkeeping department at Hawkins Priday using her experience, training and desire to meet client's requirements to good use. Lisa very much enjoys client interaction and is always keen to ensure she is doing all she can to meet their bookkeeping needs. Lisa has recently completed her Advanced Certification exam in Quickbooks, which has added to her already extensive experience in this accounting software. When Lisa isn't studying for upcoming exams, she helps with her family run pub, enjoys spending time with family, travelling to new places and ‘helping' her new husband build their family home.

Livvi Lawrence

Job Titles:
  • Office Administrator
Livvi joined Hawkins Priday in July 2023 very shortly after studying for A-level's, where she gained an B in Psychology, along with a C in Business Studies, and Biology. She joined Hawkins Priday as an apprentice in the role of Office Administrator, and this year she is to embark on a college course studying office management. She has already completely immersed herself into learning new skills in the working-world and is always looking for new tasks to add to her forever growing skillset. Livvi's role is to organise the office, control and monitor its software, greeting clients and assisting Team Members in their roles.

Melanie Stacey AATQB

Job Titles:
  • Payroll Manager
Melanie joined the team in August 2016 having studied AAT Level 2 and 3 via distance learning. Having come from an industry background armed with extensive book-keeping and payroll experience, she quickly put these skills into practice and now runs the Payroll Bureau department with great efficiency. Her extensive knowledge and experience of book-keeping is also put to good use within the Practice, where she is an important cog in the book-keeping department, maintaining clients accounts on Quickbooks and Sage, ready for VAT preparation/submission, and year end accounts. When she has a gap in her working schedule, Melanie is also able to help throughout the Practice by working on Limited Company, Charities and sole trader accounts. When she's not at work Melanie runs a Guide Unit and a Senior Section unit and tries to get to the gym and Zumba once a week.

Ruth Alexander

Job Titles:
  • Director
Ruth started working for Hawkins Priday in 2002, in conjunction with running her own book-keeping business. In her role as fellow Officer of the Company, she helps manage the smooth running of the Practice along with the Hawkins Priday team. She also brings with her an extensive experience in book-keeping, specializing in Sage accounts, but has now developed her skills and the team's expertise in other Cloud based software, such as Quickbooks to ensure that the Practice is at the forefront of the new era of MTD compliance. Due to injury (and old age) her hockey playing days are definitely over, so now in her spare time she enjoys a round of golf along with her husband. She also loves swimming, reading, cycling and especially loves going on holidays!

Toby Smith

Job Titles:
  • Trainee Accountant
Toby joined Hawkins Priday in 2022 after finishing his GCSE's. He is currently studying for his AAT Level 3 qualification after passing Level 2 earlier this year. Toby assists the team with tax return preparation and bookkeeping; not to mention his raw talent of being able to entertain his fellow team members with his dry wit ! When Toby is not at work you will find him either at the swimming pool or slaving away in the kitchen baking tasty treats for his fellow colleagues.
