MEARLEY VETS - Key Persons
Abi has been on the Accrington reception team since 2015. Away from the practice she works at a local stables and enjoys riding her own horses Toby and Harvey. She is also kept busy at home with 4 dogs of varying sizes!
Clare started her Veterinary Nurse training with us in 2008 and has been with the practice ever since. As well as caring for pets of all shapes and sizes she also has a keen knowledge of hedgehogs which comes in useful at certain times of the year when they seem to need help and end up being brought in by concerned members of the public.
Gemma started in Veterinary practice in 1999 and qualified as RVN in 2005 before joining Mearley Veterinary Group in 2011. She has two West Highland Terriers, Millie and Holly, and a ginger cat called Aston. In her spare time she enjoys walking her dogs and spending time with family.

Gill is a longstanding member of our reception team at Accrington. Gill has rescued four cats from the Accrington branch - Barley, Chester, Cleo and finally Felix who was just hours from death when he arrived with us. Gill enjoys eating out, reading and watching films.
Hollie joined our Accrington reception team in 2019 after working in local boarding kennels since she was a teenager. She has a Patterdale Terrier called Gin, a working Collie in training called Flo, a Blue Roan Cob called Chalkie and plenty more to keep her busy on the family farm!
Jenny first came to Mearley Veterinary Group in 2008 on a work experience placement. She returned to complete her Veterinary Nurse training with us, qualified in 2013 and has been here ever since! Jenny has a dog called Bebe and two cats - Lenny and Leo. She also has two horses, Bailey and Stanley and a Shetland pony. In her spare time she enjoys riding her horses and spending time with family and friends.
Judith is on our Accrington reception team. She has three cats that she rescued who were hand reared after being brought to the practice as kittens. In her spare time she enjoys caring for and riding her horses.
Julie is a 'part of the furniture' at our Clitheroe branch having been with the practice for 30 years! She has weathered many changes within the practice over the years and there is not much she hasn't seen many times before. Julie has a special love of wild creatures so often gets involved with any rescues that are brought in to us by members of the public.
Karin joined our Clitheroe reception tem in 2016 after working at the local livestock market for a number of years. A farmers daughter she has a love of all animals, large and small. Karin has a Border Terrier called Max who she enjoys walking (when he is amenable!). She also loves spending time with her family and friends.
Lauren joined our Clitheroe nursing team in December 2018. In her spare time she rides a horse called Elvis and enjoys entering local dressage competitions with him. Lauren has two dogs, Molly a Rottie and Alfie a Staffie and a cat called Poppy.
Lisa qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon from The Royal Veterinary College in 2005 and started practicing with the Mearley Veterinary Group. After a brief spell practicing elsewhere she returned to us in 2018. Her main love is performing surgery on small animals especially focusing on soft tissue. Lisa also enjoys mentoring and helping new graduates find their feet within Veterinary Practice. She has two cats and a dog and enjoys travel when she gets the chance.
Natalie has been with us since March 2019. She has a whippet called Wilma and also cares for a wandering cat who sometimes visits her house! She enjoys walking with her family, camping, swimming and trips to the cinema.
Pam joined Mearley Veterinary Group in 2015. She has lived and worked in Clitheroe her whole life (with the exception of a few years spent in Australia) and so is a familiar face to many of our Clitheroe clients. Pam has two gorgeous dogs - Charlie a Daschund and Millie a very lively Jack Russel - as well as two grown up boys all of whom keep her on her toes.
Sue is on the reception team at our Accrington branch and enjoys spending as much time as possible with her family and friends.
