Alan Bartlett - Chairman

Alan, a founding member of the Goodhart team in 2009, serves as Chairman of both the Goodhart Partners Board and Volunteer Park Capital Fund Investment Committee. Alan was previously Chief Executive Officer at Goodhart having led its creation through the management buyout of WestLB Mellon Asset Management's institutional multi-manager team. Alan is also Chief Investment Officer at Templeton Global Equity Group (TGEG), having assumed this position in October 2019. Alan oversees the management of $71bn in assets (at 30 June 2019) across TGEG's global/international, regional and small cap equity strategies. Prior to Goodhart, Alan was Chief Investment Officer of the multi-manager team at WestLB Mellon Asset Management ("WMAM"). He joined WMAM in September 2005 from MM Asset Management, where he was Director of Research, responsible for manager research and fund construction across a broad range of multi-manager funds. Before MM Asset Management, Alan was Head of Manager Research at Aon Investment Consulting in London, and Head of Manager Research at Hymans Robertson Actuaries & Consultants in Glasgow. Alan has an MSc in Investment Analysis and a BA (Hons) in Economic Policy, both from the University of Stirling, Scotland.

Carly Allan

Carly joined Goodhart Partners in 2014 as a Sales Support Analyst. She previously worked at Russell Investments for 4 years in a sales and client support role supporting the EMEA distribution team. Prior to working for Russell Investments Carly worked at Williams de Broe (now Investec) for 5 years the Fund Management Team. Carly has over 10 years experience working within the finance industry and has a strong client service and administrative history. Carly is based in London.

Dr. Sandy Nairn

Sandy is a non-Executive Board Member and minority shareholder in Goodhart. For the avoidance of doubt his investment in Goodhart is in a personal capacity. Sandy is Chief Executive Officer of Edinburgh Partners and Chairman of the Templeton Global Equity Group. Prior to establishing Edinburgh Partners he was Chief Investment Officer of Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (November 2000 to March 2003). Between 1990 and 2000 he was employed by Templeton Investment Management where he was Executive Vice President and the Director of Global Equity Research. During his time at Templeton, he was responsible for overseeing all research activities within the Templeton Group, having spent the last year in Ft Lauderdale, Florida. Before joining Templeton Investment Management, Sandy spent four years at Murray Johnstone as a portfolio manager and research analyst. Prior to that, he spent a year as an economist at the Scottish Development Agency. Sandy graduated from the University of Strathclyde in 1982, and in 1985 he achieved a PhD in Economics from the University of Strathclyde/Scottish Business School. He is an Associate of the UK Society of Investment Professionals in the UK and is a CFA charterholder with the CFA Institute in the United States. In 2001 he published a book titled "Engines that Move Markets: Technology Investing from Railroads to the Internet and Beyond". And in 2012 he co-authored the book "Templeton's Way With Money" with Jonathan Davis. Sandy is based in Edinburgh.

Elina Nizar

Elina began her career working in the City of London for a consultancy where she advised UK & Global Asset Managers on distribution as well developing relations with family offices across Europe and the Middle East. In 2016, Elina successfully set up Cap Connect as a regulated capital introductory firm working with family offices in the UK and the Middle East. Elina has since worked with leading global asset managers on their capital raising initiatives and government bodies on their local capabilities. Elina is currently between London and Dubai and speaks fluent Arabic.

Emma Norman

Emma joined Goodhart in 2016 as a Sales Support Analyst, who supports the Sales Analyst in the collection, analysis, and reporting of business related data in order to increase overall sales productivity. She also provides general secretarial support and assist the co-ordination of office management activities. Emma graduated from the university of Hertfordshire with a 2:1 degree in Economics in 2012. She has a strong client service and administrative history.

Jan-Ole Hansen

Jan-Ole is CIO of North-East Family Office, which is an investor in Goodhart Partners. He joined North-East in 2012. He is responsible for the daily management of North-East Family Office and North-East Family Office Asset Management, covering overall investments, including development and implementation of the investment philosophy and strategy. Jan-Ole is an alumnus of Aarhus University (Denmark) and holds a master's degree in economics. He also holds a bachelor's degree in business and economics from Odense University (Denmark). He has a number of committee and board memberships and advisor roles, and has over 25 years' experience in the investment industry.

Jon Mills

Jon joined Goodhart as a graduate analyst in 2014. He works within the product management and research function, providing analytical support to Commercial team and our investment partners. Jon holds a first class honours degree in Economics from the University of Exeter and has completed the Investment Management Certificate. He is also currently working towards his CFA designation. Jon is based in London.

Julie Roust

Julie forms part of the business development team at Goodhart supporting the firm's partner companies' advancement efforts. Prior to joining Goodhart, Julie spent almost 8 years with Polunin Capital Partners, an emerging markets specialist in London, where she was responsible for handling the firm's global institutional relationships before spending a year and a half working with Dubai-based FIM Partners focusing on their capital raising efforts across North America and Europe. Before joining Polunin, Julie held several marketing and client service positions between Nomura Asset Management, in both New York and London, and Westfield Capital in Boston. Julie graduated from Boston College where she earned a B.A. in Economics in 2002.

Justin McKie

Justin is responsible for Client Service and Business Development. He has over 15 years of industry experience. Justin passed through the Deutsche Asset Management graduate training programme, before working as a Research Analyst on the Global Asset Allocation team. In 2003 Justin joined Russell Investment Group as a Product Specialist Relationship Manager and over a nine year period carried out client facing roles across the European institutional market place. Latterly, Justin was responsible for establishing Coronation Asset Management's institutional business outside Africa, before joining Goodhart Partners in late 2013. Justin has a BA Hons in Finance and Law as well as the IMC. He is based in London.

Mike Daley

Mike joined Goodhart in 2018. Mike has 20 years of experience in the investment management industry, having spent the last 10 years acquiring minority stakes in boutique investment management companies. Most recently Mike served as Managing Director of Investments for Pacific Current Group Limited (ASX:PAC) where he was responsible for deal sourcing, due diligence, and execution. Mike represented PAC on the Board of Directors of 7 of its affiliated investment managers, including the Board of Goodhart Partners. Prior to joining PAC, Mike was the Director of Product Development for Accessor Capital Management (now part of Salient Partners L.P). Mike is based in Seattle.

Natalie Konschu - Chief Compliance Officer

Natalie is a fluent speaker of German, Russian and English. She holds a BA in Business Management from University of East London and a Master's Degree in Corporate Finance Law from University of Westminster. Natalie joined Goodhart Partners from Payden and Rygel Global Ltd in 2019. She has worked within compliance for over a decade. Nathalie's involvement in technical compliance started within Fidelity International in 2006. Mainly dealing with the range of legal and regulatory issues faced by the company, she worked as the Onshore and Offshore Legal Associate in Customer Operations, and European Legal Services. In 2012 she moved to M&G Investments and became the Compliance Consultant for European Distribution. In 2014 Nathalie took the position of Assistant Vice President - Product and Technical Compliance at Barclays Wealth and Investment Management. Natalie's direct experience led her to Rudolf Wolff Ltd, where she was CF10 approved and ensured legal and regulatory compliance with the future in mind. Natalie also provided consulting to various companies, ensuring that firms complied, and demonstrated compliance, with the relevant FCA requirements.

Peter Taylor - CEO, COO

Peter is co-founding partner of Goodhart and has served as COO since formation and more recently also as CEO. Peter joined Goodhart from Russell Investments where he served as COO, Alternative Investments and prior to that Director, Risk Management. Prior to that Peter served as COO to hedge Funds Cheyne Capital based in London and Rubicon Capital based in New York. Peter also served as COO to Longitude Inc., an early Fintech company developing innovative derivative markets based on proprietary market structures. Peter started his career at Merrill Lynch where he worked in various senior financial and operational roles based in London and New York and prior to that had qualified as a Chartered Accountant. Peter is based in London.

Richard Willmott

Richard joined Goodhart in 2015. He previously worked for Augentius, a Private Equity Administrator, within the client services department with responsibility for leading a team of accountants and managing the day-to-day relationship and reporting requirements of a diverse set of Private Equity clients. Richard previously worked and qualified as a Chartered Accountant at LB Group, a London based accountancy firm. Richard has a BA (Hons) in Economics from Exeter University and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). Richard is based in London.

Rick Holloway

Rick joined Goodhart in 2022 as Client Service Manager responsible for Sales Management and Compliance. He has over 25 years of industry experience, having started his investment career at Micropal (now part of Morningstar). Rick spent over two decades at Russell Investments, beginning in performance measurement and then holding various roles in consulting strategy, compliance and business operations before joining, and finally leading, the Client Service team. Latterly, he carried out a consultant role for Artemis Investment Management, working with the Board on the launch of Luxembourg SICAVs. Rick has the IMC and is based in London.

Ryan Rajkumar

Ryan joined Goodhart Partners in 2020 with responsibility for client relationships primarily in the UK, as well as Switzerland and Asia. Ryan has over 25 years of industry experience, having started his career on the graduate scheme at Salomon Brothers. Following client-facing roles across multiple channels at SWIP (now part of Aberdeen Standard Investments), Fidelity and BNY Mellon, he was Head of Financial Institutions within the Wholesale division at UBS Asset Management for a number of years. Latterly, he was responsible for driving Algebris Investments' specialist expertise in the UK and Switzerland. Ryan has a BA (Hons) in Economics as well as the IMC and is based in London.

Toby May

Toby is an Analyst and Head of Trading within the investment team at Goodhart. He has 16 years of investment experience. Toby began his investment career at Bacon & Woodrow, which subsequently became part of Hewitt Associates. At Hewitt, he was an investment consultant, advising clients on all aspects of pension fund investment, including investment strategy, manager selection and alternative investments. After seven years at Hewitt/Bacon & Woodrow, he joined the multi-manager team at WestLB Mellon Asset Management ("WMAM") in March 2006. He worked on the equity funds, with a particular focus on portfolio monitoring and analytics. Toby became a founding member when Goodhart was created through the management buyout of the WMAM multi-manager team in 2009. After the launch of the Hanjo Fund in 2011, Toby worked closely with Sean Lenihan, who sub-advised the Fund from Atlantis Investment Research Corporation. Toby works closely with the Granmiznar team, with a particular focus on idea sourcing, portfolio analytics/risk management and trading. Toby was awarded the CFA charter in 2003 and holds a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics and Statistics from Sussex University.
