James Whiteford is a highly skilled engineer and project director with over 20 years' experience in the fields of marine and geotechnical engineering. His remit within Whiteford Geoservices includes development of business strategy and the executive supervision of major projects. James specialises in costing, planning and delivering investigation projects in sectors as diverse as rail and water infrastructure, marine and harbour development, bridge works and oil, gas and renewable power generation. His role requires the management of multi-disciplinary teams in the UK, Republic of Ireland and overseas. James has also been instrumental in securing successful framework contracts with large utility and infrastructure providers such as Irish Water and Irish Rail. His primary degree is in Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering from the University of Strathclyde.
