Arjun joined Elliot Mather in 2020 as a newly qualified Solicitor. Arjun completed his law degree with first-class honours at Nottingham Law School in 2016. After graduation, he joined a large criminal defence firm based in Nottingham and gained experience as a caseworker in their busy Crown Court department. He also became a fully accredited Police Station Representative and has been regularly attending police stations for several years. He has experience in advising clients at the police station accused of offences ranging from minor shop thefts or assaults to serious violent offences. Arjun completed his legal training with a high street firm in Leicestershire and had the opportunity to work in different areas of law, ranging from residential property sales to cases involving social services and family matters. After qualifying as a Solicitor in 2020, he joined our Crime department based in Nottinghamshire and is looking forward to gaining more experience with Elliot Mather and working towards his court duty qualification. He is currently representing clients at both the police station and in the Magistrates Court.

Gary also spent 15 years living in Spain while working as a partner in a golf retail/leisure business and as a writer. A major part of Gary's HR experience has been in the development of programmes aimed at performance management/improvement and management upskilling, backed by extensive exposure to multi-site employee relations and recruitment activity on both a regional and national basis.

Hannah-Marie Davis

Hannah-Marie qualified as a solicitor in 2011 and since that date has practiced almost exclusively in family law, representing parents, children, family members, foster carers and interveners both in private law and public law cases. Hannah-Marie has been a member of the Law Society's Children Panel since 2014 and joined Elliot Mather's Nottingham care team in January 2019 as an Associate solicitor. Hannah-Marie has been involved in a number of high profile cases involving issues including physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, adoption and international elements. She understands the importance of continuity of representation and wherever possible will try to conduct her own advocacy. Hannah-Marie is also able to assist and support clients at the pre proceedings stage, attending PLO meetings and ensuring that her clients receive fair and thorough assessments and the correct support to enable them to care for their children. In relation to private law proceedings, Hannah-Marie can advise and represent clients in cases concerning contact, specific issue orders, parental alienation, relocation and enforcement applications. She is also able to advise and assist both victims and those accused of perpetrating domestic abuse. Renowned for her bubbly and approachable attitude she puts clients at ease, taking time to get to know them to ensure she fully understands their case. Hannah-Marie is skilled at representing vulnerable clients, including those with additional learning needs. Julie joined Elliot Mather as a Trainee Solicitor in 1992 having studied for a Law Degree at the University of East Anglia and completed her Legal Practice Course at Chester. Throughout her legal career she has worked almost exclusively within the Criminal Department at our offices in Mansfield, Matlock and now Chesterfield. Julie has been a member of the Duty Solicitor Scheme for over 20 years and has represented hundreds of clients either detained at a police station or appearing in the Magistrates and Crown Courts across the East Midlands. She has advised and represented clients charged with everything from minor road traffic matters to extremely serious allegations including rape, drug supply and murder. Julie particularly enjoys representing young people who, for reasons often beyond their control, find themselves in the Criminal Justice System. It is here that her intervention can often have the greatest impact. In 2017 Julie assumed the role of Managing Partner having been Deputy Managing Partner since 2013. Working closely with our Chief Operations Officer Alan Grant and our Deputy Managing Partner Natalia Delgado, she is responsible for setting the strategic aims of Elliot Mather LLP and helping to steer the Firm in the direction of those aims. This is an exciting and challenging role especially as Elliot Mather continues to grow and expand into new markets. As part of her Management responsibilities Julie is the Firm's Compliance Officer for Legal Practice meaning she has responsibility for the firm's risk management systems and controls. She is also our Training Principle and as such, has responsibility for overseeing the development of our Trainee Solicitors. In addition to being a very experienced Family Law Solicitor, Rosemary is also a Resolution Trained Family Mediator and is working towards her accreditation as a mediator. Rosemary advises on all, aspects of family law including divorce, civil partnership dissolution, the breakdown of relationships of cohabiting couples and the financial issues arising from those relationship breakdowns. She has many years of experience and has dealt with cases where the parties have modest assets but has also dealt with cases where the assets are substantial and can include multiple properties, substantial pension funds, investments and business interests. Rosemary is a Member of Resolution (www.resolution.org.uk) which is an organisation of family lawyers and other professionals who are committed to dealing with cases in a conciliatory manner. Sophie holds an LLB (Hons) Law Degree and is working towards her LPC qualification alongside her Masters. Sophie works alongside our specialist Care Team in proceedings, assisting in the day to day running of cases, and has experience in supporting families in a wide range of child and care issues, both privately and legal aid funded. Sophie represents clients at Public Law Outline (PLO) meetings, i.e. if a child has been placed as a Child in Need or Child Protection Plan. This work is often funded under the Legal Help Scheme.
