Alicia joined Elliot Mather LLP in December 2013 as a trainee conveyancing assistant quickly progressing through our in house training programme to become a new build executive. This means that as well as dealing with all aspects of general conveyancing, she specialises in new build transactions dealing with not only large major builders but also smaller bespoke builders.
At Elliot Mather we believe that maintaining good relationships with our builders is key to our business. Alicia will therefore regularly visit development site offices and attend open events to be on hand to speak with prospective purchases in a clear and concise manner.

Annie is a Conveyancing Executive who joined our Residential Property team in June 2021 and is predominantly based at our Chesterfield. Although she is based at our Chesterfield branch, she has the ability to advise clients locally, regionally and even nationally.
She gained experience working out of a busy practice based in Sheffield and specialises in a range of residential matters, including: house sales and purchases (both freehold and leasehold), re-mortgages, transfers of equity and repaying of help to buy loan.
Annie is dedicated to ensuring that all clients receive expert advice at all stages of their matter and adopts a friendly and professional approach to her work.

Arjun joined Elliot Mather in 2020 as a newly qualified Solicitor.
Arjun completed his law degree with first-class honours at Nottingham Law School in 2016. After graduation, he joined a large criminal defence firm based in Nottingham and gained experience as a caseworker in their busy Crown Court department. He also became a fully accredited Police Station Representative and has been regularly attending police stations for several years. He has experience in advising clients at the police station accused of offences ranging from minor shop thefts or assaults to serious violent offences.
Arjun completed his legal training with a high street firm in Leicestershire and had the opportunity to work in different areas of law, ranging from residential property sales to cases involving social services and family matters.
After qualifying as a Solicitor in 2020, he joined our Crime department based in Nottinghamshire and is looking forward to gaining more experience with Elliot Mather and working towards his court duty qualification. He is currently representing clients at both the police station and in the Magistrates Court.

Ben is a Solicitor and LLP Member who joined Elliot Mather's Family Department in December 2021.

Beverly joined our Child Care Department as a Child Care Executive in October 2022 and is based at our Derby office.
She studied at Nottingham Basford College and qualified as a Fellow of the National Association of Paralegals in 2003.
Beverly has a high level of expertise in children law, having the ability to provide assistance to clients across Derbyshire. She has previously worked in all areas of the East Midlands including Nottingham, Leicestershire, Derby and Derbyshire, with experience in:

Claire joined Elliot Mather in June 2017. She been a Family Executive since March 2020 after having previous experience working in both the Child Care, and Criminal departments.
Currently, Claire is studying her LLB with the Open University and is due to graduate in 2022. After this, she will be completing her SQE, and subsequently qualifying as a Solicitor.
Claire is predominantly based at our Chesterfield office, but has the ability to advise clients on a wide range of family matters both locally and regionally. She has in depth knowledge and experience assisting clients (both privately funded and legally aided) with a range of Private Law children matters between parents, including: where children live, and how much time they should spend with the other parent. She can also assist victims of domestic abuse who are seeking an Injunction by way of a Non-Molestation Order.

Gary is the HR Manager at Elliot Mather, and joined the Practice in May 2019.
He was awarded chartered MCIPD status in 1995, and has accumulated over 26 years' HR operations/management experience with corporations including Prudential, Whitbread, Bass, and Co-operative. Gary also spent 15 years living in Spain while working as a partner in a golf retail/leisure business and as a writer.
A major part of Gary's HR experience has been in the development of programmes aimed at performance management/improvement and management upskilling, backed by extensive exposure to multi-site employee relations and recruitment activity on both a regional and national basis.

Georgina is a Trainee Solicitor and Accredited Police Station Representative who joined our Derbyshire Crime team in September 2020.
In February 2022 Georgina started studying for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination under the Graduate Apprentice scheme which will see her qualify as a solicitor in Summer 2024.
Before joining Elliot Mather, she completed her Law Degree at Sheffield Hallam University, and achieved this in May 2020.
Although Georgina is predominantly based at our Chesterfield office, she has the ability to advise clients across Derbyshire for Crown Court and Police Station attendances. Georgina has experience in dealing with a range of circumstances, including: new client enquiries for all criminal matters, Police Station advice, handling Crown Court files, and attending Crown Court to provide support and assistance to clients and barristers.

Hannah-Marie qualified as a solicitor in 2011 and since that date has practiced almost exclusively in family law, representing parents, children, family members, foster carers and interveners both in private law and public law cases. Hannah-Marie has been a member of the Law Society's Children Panel since 2014 and joined Elliot Mather's Nottingham care team in January 2019 as an Associate solicitor. Hannah-Marie has been involved in a number of high profile cases involving issues including physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, adoption and international elements. She understands the importance of continuity of representation and wherever possible will try to conduct her own advocacy.
Hannah-Marie is also able to assist and support clients at the pre proceedings stage, attending PLO meetings and ensuring that her clients receive fair and thorough assessments and the correct support to enable them to care for their children.
In relation to private law proceedings, Hannah-Marie can advise and represent clients in cases concerning contact, specific issue orders, parental alienation, relocation and enforcement applications. She is also able to advise and assist both victims and those accused of perpetrating domestic abuse.
Renowned for her bubbly and approachable attitude she puts clients at ease, taking time to get to know them to ensure she fully understands their case. Hannah-Marie is skilled at representing vulnerable clients, including those with additional learning needs. Hannah-Marie regularly represents children and teenagers in Court and will ensure that the Court is aware of what their wishes and feelings are to ensure that their voice is heard within the proceedings.

Jonathan gained his Law Degree at Nottingham University before completing his professional training at The College of Law in York. He has been with Elliot Mather LLP since 1990 and heads the Wills and Probate departments in Chesterfield and Matlock.

Julie joined Elliot Mather as a Trainee Solicitor in 1992 having studied for a Law Degree at the University of East Anglia and completed her Legal Practice Course at Chester. Throughout her legal career she has worked almost exclusively within the Criminal Department at our offices in Mansfield, Matlock and now Chesterfield.
Julie has been a member of the Duty Solicitor Scheme for over 20 years and has represented hundreds of clients either detained at a police station or appearing in the Magistrates and Crown Courts across the East Midlands. She has advised and represented clients charged with everything from minor road traffic matters to extremely serious allegations including rape, drug supply and murder. Julie particularly enjoys representing young people who, for reasons often beyond their control, find themselves in the Criminal Justice System. It is here that her intervention can often have the greatest impact.
In 2017 Julie assumed the role of Managing Partner having been Deputy Managing Partner since 2013. Working closely with our Chief Operations Officer Alan Grant and our Deputy Managing Partner Natalia Delgado, she is responsible for setting the strategic aims of Elliot Mather LLP and helping to steer the Firm in the direction of those aims. This is an exciting and challenging role especially as Elliot Mather continues to grow and expand into new markets.
As part of her Management responsibilities Julie is the Firm's Compliance Officer for Legal Practice meaning she has responsibility for the firm's risk management systems and controls. She is also our Training Principle and as such, has responsibility for overseeing the development of our Trainee Solicitors. Elliot Mather has always recognised, not only the importance, but also the strong business case for recruiting, training and retaining the lawyers of the future.

Lesley is an Senior Associate Solicitor who joined Elliot Mather's criminal department in September 2020 and is based at our Mansfield office.
She qualified as a solicitor in 2003 after completing her law degree at the University of Hull, and her Legal Practice Course at the College of Law. She was also awarded her Higher Rights of Audience in the year 2005.
Lesley possesses a high level of expertise within her specialism, having had experience defending a broad range of criminal offences, from road traffic, to serious assault and murder. She is able to advise clients across the East Midlands region, and is frequently found at the Magistrates' Court representing clients.
Lesley understands that coming into conflict with the criminal justice system can be a distressing time. Mandip joined Elliot Mather's Family Law department as a paralegal in October 2021. She is predominantly based at our Chesterfield office and has the ability to advise clients both locally and regionally.
Mandip studied law at Nottingham Law School and graduated in 2019, she has since begun studying her LPC and is due to complete this in the summer of 2022.
Before joining Elliot Mather, Mandip had over 2 years' experience working in Family Law, and is experienced in assisting clients with a range of matters. Rosemary has practised family law exclusively since 1991. She is based in our Mansfield office but also works from our Nottingham office as required.
In addition to being a very experienced Family Law Solicitor, Rosemary is also a Resolution Trained Family Mediator and is working towards her accreditation as a mediator.
Rosemary advises on all, aspects of family law including divorce, civil partnership dissolution, the breakdown of relationships of cohabiting couples and the financial issues arising from those relationship breakdowns. She has many years of experience and has dealt with cases where the parties have modest assets but has also dealt with cases where the assets are substantial and can include multiple properties, substantial pension funds, investments and business interests.
Rosemary is a Member of Resolution (www.resolution.org.uk) which is an organisation of family lawyers and other professionals who are committed to dealing with cases in a conciliatory manner. Rosemary is a Past Chair of South Yorkshire Resolution and has served on the South Yorkshire Resolution Committee for a number of years. She has also been a member of Resolution's Legal Aid Committee in the past. Rosemary is a member of the Family Mediation Council and is working towards her mediation accreditation.

Shannon joined Elliot Mather in April 2022. She works with instructing solicitors on care proceedings cases, by assisting with day to day management, taking client instructions and analysing relevant legal documents. Additionally, Shannon provides advice to clients whose children are subject to Child in Need plans, Child Protection plans and the Public Law Outline Process (PLO). Shannon provides legal representation to clients within PLO meetings, takes client instructions and advocates for them at time of need.

Sophie joined Elliot Mather in February 2022, working at our Nottingham office as a Childcare Paralegal.
Sophie holds an LLB (Hons) Law Degree and is working towards her LPC qualification alongside her Masters.
Sophie works alongside our specialist Care Team in proceedings, assisting in the day to day running of cases, and has experience in supporting families in a wide range of child and care issues, both privately and legal aid funded.
Sophie represents clients at Public Law Outline (PLO) meetings, i.e. if a child has been placed as a Child in Need or Child Protection Plan. This work is often funded under the Legal Help Scheme.
