Aaron is a senior family solicitor within the family law team at Herrington Carmichael. He joined us in January 2021 from a highly regarded boutique family law practice in Surrey whose clients included those (or those married or in a relationship with) in the entertainment industry, professional sportspeople and those in the investment banking world.
Aaron is able to help clients who are married or unmarried resolve the broad range of difficulties which they may be facing following a breakdown of their relationship or marriage which may involve children, domestic violence or finances. Aaron's is also happy to prepare cohabitation agreements or pre-nuptial agreements.
Aaron is a member of Resolution (a national body of family law professionals committed to resolving matters on behalf of their client in the most constructive way possible) and has been published in their monthly magazine. Aaron will always keep the client's objectives and best interests at the fore when considering how best to help them resolve their issue or achieve their objective. If a firm approach is needed (and proportionate) then it will be adopted.
With over 12 years' experience of working within Family Law Aaron has an extensive network of professionals who may need to be instructed in order to help build a robust team with the appropriate expertise to assist his clients taking budget and proportionality into account.
Aaron can conduct advocacy in front of Judges of the Family Court if the circumstances suggest that is appropriate however in many cases it is sensible to instruct specialist barristers to carry out this important element of the case.

Adrienne deals solely with sales and part exchanges relating to new build purchases.
Adrienne has nearly 20 years experience in all aspects of residential conveyancing. She first joined the Firm in 1974 working for several Partners including Walter Herrington who was semi-retired at the time. Adrienne left the Firm in 1982 to have a family and re-joined in 2008.

Alex started as a Paralegal in the Corporate and Commercial Department in June 2019, assisting Mark Chapman and Cesare McArdle in all aspects of commercial law including supply of goods and services agreements, international trade agreements, business terms and conditions, IT agreements and large scale business to business commercial arrangements. Alex also provides commercial support for due diligence exercises in respect of corporate transactions.

Alex graduated with an upper second class law degree from the University of Bournemouth in 2016 and went on to complete the LPC at the University of Law in 2017, obtaining a commendation.
Alex previously worked as a Paralegal in the Legal Department at McLaren Automotive Limited where he assisted with drafting and negotiating various commercial contracts such as supply agreements, services agreements and licence agreements.

Outside of work, Alex is a particularly keen golfer and plays as much as possible at Hartley Wintney Golf Club. Alex also enjoys playing 5 a side football and going to support Leeds United at Elland Road.

Alex is a solicitor in the employment team with experience of acting in contentious and non-contentious matters for clients from a wide range of sectors including construction, healthcare, telecoms, retail, pharmaceutical and others. Alex is building a specialist focus on employment issues relating to discrimination and equal pay, having been previously involved in an international gender pay gap reporting project, a grievance investigation with a particular focus on equal pay and multiple employment tribunal claims for discrimination.
Alex advises on a wide-range of employment law issues, specialising in particular on Employment Tribunal litigation with a focus on employment status, whistleblowing and discrimination. Alex also works with clients on all aspects of employment law including redundancies, HR policies, settlement negotiations and agreements, corporate transactions and ER investigations.
Alex joined Herrington Carmichael in 2021 following qualifying as an employment solicitor in 2019. Alex previously worked as a commercial paralegal, trainee solicitor and newly qualified solicitor at an international London practice.
Alex studied French and German at Kings College London prior to completing a Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice course at the University of Law.

Alex was part of the team which defended a disability discrimination employment tribunal claim with a value in excess of £100,000, which was successfully mitigated to £0 through the strategic use of cost awards.
Alice is a third seat Trainee Solicitor in Employment.
Prior to her Training Contract, Alice gained valuable experience liaising with clients whilst she was working as a legal assistant in Herrington Carmichael's Residential Property team.
Alice attained a First Class Law degree from Oxford Brookes University, and was awarded the Hart Publishing Prize for her academic performance. Following this, Alice was awarded the Dean's Scholarship Award from the University of Law, Guildford, where she achieved a Distinction in the Legal Practice Course. Alice also has a Master's Degree in Professional Legal Practice.

She is also experienced in assisting clients to secure financial settlements, taking a tactical yet practical approach and combining her legal knowledge with strategic planning.

Amanda has been a specialist Family legal secretary and PA since 2013. She is also a qualified paralegal.
Amanda assists Sarah Speed, the Head of Department, and other team members in the daily running of the family department. Anna Svensson is a Solicitor within the Real Estate department at Herrington Carmichael.
At the start of her legal career, Anna worked as a paralegal at a London firm, which she then went on to train with. Anna's trainee seats were in residential property, dispute resolution, and corporate and commercial. After qualifying in 2019, she joined the commercial property department at a high street firm in Surrey, where she dealt with a mixed type of work, such as Landlord and Tenant matters, disposals and acquisitions, secured lending and option agreements.
Anna's current Commercial Property workload includes landlord and tenant matters, and disposals and acquisitions.
